Rihanna has some special stipulations attached to the court order rendered the other day:
Although the court slapped Chris Brown with among the least restrictive of protective orders, Rihanna does have the means to gather evidence against him if he causes trouble. She may tape record conversations with the R&B singer. Brown, 19, who was charged Thursday with two felonies in the alleged beating of girlfriend Rihanna, 21, is barred from exhibiting a host of bad behaviors toward Rihanna, with whom he has reconciled. According to the protective order, signed by the Superior Court commissioner on Thursday and served on Brown in court, he may not “harass, strike, threaten, assault (sexually or otherwise), follow, stalk, molest, destroy or damage personal or real property” of Rihanna’s. He also may not “disturb the peace, keep under surveillance or block movements” of her, and must get rid of any guns he may have by surrendering them to police or selling them to a licensed dealer within 24 hours. And he cannot “dissuade or prevent” anybody from attending a hearing or making a report to police. Under the order, however, he is allowed to contact Rihanna in person or by telephone, and there are no limitations to how physically close he may be to her. The only restriction checked on the form is the box reading: “The protected persons may record any prohibited communications made by the restrained person.” The order expires in March 2012.

I’m with you. I’m very worried about her. People act like they know Chris personally. He is an abuser. People need to take into consideration that he had no problem beating her down on Grammy day without regard to the fact the she was supposed to perform. I feel strongly that like other abusers he would kill her without worrying about the consequences. I hope she gets away from him until AFTER he has had extensive therapy.

I don’t know the first thing about Chris. What I do know is that Rihanna got beat down by him. We all know what abusers are capable of. Feel free to convince yourself that this was a one shot deal. Every case where a woman is beaten this badly; punched in the face repeatedly, bit AND choked, it is my situation. Even if it was mutual combat Chris would have have shut Rihanna down pretty early. I agree with your posts, but I’ll add that I think Rihanna should stay away from Chris Brown, permanently. He needs a lot of psychological help, and she should focus on her own healing process, IMHO.
Various posters have said that women are pursuing Brown, and he’s probably cheating on Rihanna, and I say, let him cheat and go his own way. If it takes that to wake Rihanna up and see this unhealthy relationship for what it is, so be it. A broken heart mends much faster than other organs. She’s young and has her life ahead of her, and she deserves much more than this violent mistreatment.

But as a grown ***** woman I know a man works his way up to this level of disrespect. What CB did that night was a culmination of months of intimidation and physical abuse.
Also, I understand the quality of people who come to Bossip is MOSTLY at the gutter level. So I don’t expect much common sense or maturity. But comp*****ion and sympathy are feelings we ALL can have for this young woman.

unfortunately a lot of people are in denial about abuse.
The lines get blurred because you have people like Rihanna who go back every time, even defend their abusers. This confuses the hell out of the public. If people think that you invite certian injustices upon yourself, they’re most likely to turn their backs and say its your fault…its called BLAMING THE VICTIM…its the way society gets around having to deal with the real issues
e.g. if a woman it is because she dressed provocatively or stayed out too late at night…therefore she should change her behavior and problem solved only thing is that’s not the real problem at all (women in Afghanistan as young as 7 are raped everyday and they never expose one part of their bodies or go out alone). The root is never addressed which that society breeds types of people.
People are also in denial because they find themselves in simular situations either as the abusers or as the abused and last thing people who are envolved in distructive behavior want to admit is that they have a problem…easier to *****ume everyone else does for not doing/thinking/being the way they wanted them to be (TYPICAL CONTROL ISSUES) or that everyone else just doesn’t understand and needs to mind their own business (MINDING OUR OWN BUSINESS IS WHY WE HAVE THIS PROBLEM TO BEGIN WITH, IT IS WHY THE ABUSED SUFFER IN SILLENCE AND THE ABUSERS NEVER GET THE HELP THEY SO DESPERATELY NEED)
Beating someone in the privacy of your own home makes it a ‘DOMESTIC; issue. Beating the crap out of some in public makes it a ‘PUBLIC’ matter. Police reports and court records are ‘PUBLIC’ do*****ents. This is not going to just go away and this case may be of more ‘SYMBOLIC’ significance than too many shallow people can realize

Chris & Rihanna are both reaping what they’ve sowed. She’s just as dizzy as he is because this was NOT the first time they’ve had a physical altercation. It’s embar*****ing to say the least. Rihanna still has her career in tact…but she’ll be a poster child for abuse for a long time. Chris is a fine example of what not to do…..he’s just a boy with a problem just like some of these grown ***** men out there doing the same thing. Pray for him and Rihanna……and thier parents. This is also a strong reminder to young people that: the rich and famouse are human and go through real ***** just like us down here in the hood…their lives are not a bed or roses because they have fame and fortune. It can all be taken away in a FLASH ………

Trust me, it’s easy when he’s well endowed. I was in a three year, on and off abusive relationship and the reason I stayed, was because he did things to me in bed that none of my other exes were able to match. It took alot of will power and support from my inner circle of friends to break that cycle.
During that three year period, I did some shameful and deceitful things, like leading other guys on by letting them think we were in exclusive relationships, while still sleeping with my on and off again abuser. It was a truly unhealthy addiction and to this day, I still sometimes wake up in a cold sweat thinking about him.
I guess this is why I refuse to allow myself to get involved in another serious relationship until I can reconcile these destructive and conflicting emotions. It wouldn’t be fair to me or the person who would give their heart to me.

Different emotions for different people, I don’t know, but myself I have to be turned on emotionally first, then physically. There is no way I can be turned on and he’s beating my a**, no matter how endowed. If he had gone upside my head, or anyone else for that matter, whatever love or desire I had for him would have been knocked completely out. Now, that’s just me. However, I am glad that you are out of that unhealthy relationship, it’s best for you.

This is no longer making any sense. Ok did they meet up or not. I didn’t believe the stories at first and *****umed that Chris’s people were spinning them. After every tabloid blog and their mom including People mag said they were together, I figured ok they are and if so I’m done. Now I’m hearing that RiRi still has a protective order on him and that they’re not together and haven’t been.

If they have been together then she needs to remove the protective order. I don’t believe in using the court to control people you want to continue spending time with. If she’s that scared and he’s that volitale then she needs to leave him alone. If anything her lawyers need to come out with a statement and make this ish clear. I do realize that the state can bring a case on Chris whether Rihanna wants to or not especially if they have enough evidence to exclude her testimony. That’s why I think she needs to make her feelings clear. She’ll end up destroying her own career if she doesn’t.

I find it to be really strange if chris brown is agreeing with all what’s being said in the media.Depending on how much of it is true. I know for sure no man in the world would put up with all of those demands just another form of control(No man likes to be controlled by any woman).
The information that’s being put out in the media is crazy. I would be very afraid if I were chris if he hug or show rihanna any type of love. Any wrong gesture and she didn’t like it(flash back)could be more charges on him. What kind of life would that be for the both of them.
Chris would be her boy toy which he would jump to her demands(Yes,Rihanna would rule him like a slave because her deep strange love for him). I will continue to pray for them. So sad and so depressing.I would be worried to embrace the person I loved under those conditions. Both camps are in charge and they are going to protect their investments at whatever cost it takes.Hollywood and both camps put these two young stars together for the good chemistry they protray on stage.(Ratings,Money,Greed,Power).No amount of money in the world could never rule over the Power of Love.Oprah was right Love doesn’t hurt and violence should not be in any relationship but it does exist.
