progress. Before you can move to the next level, you must first p*****
the test for the level you are on now. So many of us are stuck on the
same level for years because we will not let go of people, places,
things, that cause us to fall. But until you master your level, you
will not be promoted.

You have to desire to be better to get better, and you have to desire to be free to
get free. As long as you are holding on to the same stuff, then you
will not make any progress. God wants us to desire to please him and
desire a better way of living. Sometimes we can do the same thing for
so long that we lose sight of the real way it should be done. This is
why church, fellowship, and reading the word is so important because it
does not let us stay the same, but seeing others and hearing other
testimonies and reading what God said will cause us to grow and not
stay the same. Anything that does not grow is dead! Plain and simple,
you will be walking as a spiritually dead person if you stop growing.
No God, no victory, and no progress. So, strive for excellence in your walk and get hip to
the devils tactics. Know it is him and recognize when you should
change things in your life. When that same old temptation comes, start
resisting with everything you got! When that same old depression
comes, block it out and speak the Word of God. When that same old
situation tries to raise it’s head, run for your life into the shadow
of the Almighty. Do what you have to do, but avoid doing the same old
things.

Let me make myself clear.
Black women are always bombarded with blatent and latent messages saying that they are in inferior in every way including beauty.
I didnt want to come off hateful, just matter-of-factly.
Noone-i mean no one finds it strange that the black wome who tops these list have strong caucasian features? As if the only way for a black woman to come close to beauty is to have fair hair and fine hair. Its not right.
I want to add that i am Black and Puerto Rican, I have fair features, however my siblings do not they are 100% and i grew up with a sister who thought that she was inferior to me because of skin color…not that this was taught in our household but everyday at schools and the images seen on television.
With all that said i just want people to be aware of the subliminal messages hidden behind countdowns like this. It says this is what you need to look like in order to be beautiful, and if you dont you fall short of the number 1 spot.

@Gemma: Co-signing with you 100%. I didn’t want to be the one to say it, but it’s true. This list does send a clear message to us from mainstream society that the only way for us to be considered “beautiful/sexy” is when we have standard european features.

Some hardcore haters in here against blacks with lighter skin and different facial features. You don’t have to be a 50/50 mix white and black to have high cheek bones,a small nose, and straightish hair(like this one matters because most sisters have perms and or weaves not too many brave enough to go natural). I know a lot of light skinned girls that look like Halle, Vanessa, and Alicia but have obviously more black blood than anything else. And if they claim black…they are black period so saying crap like they aren’t black is ridiculous and unless you are fresh off the plane from Africa you too my friend probably have something in your veins that is “not black”. I suppose you say our newly elected president is also…not black since you are hating on these girls. I honestly feel bad that in the year 2009 that such crab in a bucket mentality is still so rampant in the black community. My bigoted friend you might as well go ahead and get used to the idea of people that look like that because many more of them are on the way and I’d hope they wouldn’t have to put up with bigotry and hate coming from the very group of people that should be pulling them close and raising them up in pride.

Too many of you judge black women by white beauty standards. This is why the sisters feel like outcasts in their own skin. This is why they use caustic chemicals to alter the texture of their hair or lighten their skin. They don’t feel acceptable until they sew on or glue on some Asian hair. Have cosmetic surgery to modify their Africanity. Use makeup tricks to create the illusion of a narrower nose. The implication is that we do not accept the reality of who and what we are. How dare you judge any of these sisters’ looks! They look just like you, your mother, grandmother, etc. Wake up!

What is all the fuss about? You want to see real beautiful black and mixed women..go to trinidad..not Jamaica..not barbados but trinidad. I went to trinidad for the first time in 1995 for carnival and have been back every year just admiring the most beautiful black women I have seen anywhere and I have been to Brazil and Africa..Trinidad is it guys! Just go for carnival men and I guarantee you..you would not be fawning over these average looking black women that we have here in the states and on this list(some of them)..For a small country Trinidad has won two miss universe (the first black woman to win Miss Universe was from Trinidad) and two miss worlds..and Halle berry(Miss USA) was second runner up or something like that when Trinidad won its firs Miss World in 1986..Ask Jayz who went to Trinidad and was crazy about the beauty of the women..he has a child with a trinidadian model..that was before the beyonce relationship..Beyonce banned him from going to Trinidad again LOL ..Nia long, tatyana ali are from trinidad..fantasia also have trinidad roots(father’s side) but she is ugly because her mother is american(joke)..word! Trinidad has the most beautiful black women in the world..most caribbean people I have spoken to who have been throughout the caribbean agree that Trinidad is #1 with pretty women…and all my American friends who accompany me every year for carnival agree that Trinidad is #1…You don’t believe me! “Sexy” is not limited by age or size or complexion if you understand what it really means.
Tina Turner and Grace Jones are sexy.
Angie Stone is sexy.
Michelle Obama is sexy.
It takes more than surface to be sexy-confidence,mystique and “edge” all give you that “thing”.

All beautiful so called African American women are mixed with something..Halle Berry, Alecia Keys, Phylicia Rashad, Amerie, Beyonce,Nia long,Sanaa Lathan, and the list goes on and on..even Rhianna is mixed with something..did you look at her father’s pic? The point I am trying to make is that if 60% of African Americans have indian or white blood..chances are that most of you bloggers have indian or white blood..Research and check out the genetics of michael Jackson and his family they have native indian blood mixed with black..Jesse Jackson..Karl Malone.. Pam Grier..and the list goes on and on..there are very few pure african blooded African Americans..Bill Cosby understood this when he chose the cast for the cosby show and also the cast of the Fresh prince of belair reflects this.. but the fact remains that the most attractive black women are those that are mixed. Jump high jump low..that’s the fact! They are more appealing to the eyes..you cannot compare whoopie goldberg or fantasia or wek to Halle Berry, Eva, Phylicia Rashad. Let me make my point for the last time..All pure race people(black, white, chinese etc) are downright ugly..that’s the way God made it..It has always been God’s design that people mix with each other and love each other and bring some attractiveness and beauty in the earth..In countries where you have pure race people alone..they are fighting and killing themselves(tribal wars in africa and Northern Ireland etc)check it out for yourself..Ugly people cannot stand each other for too long..you know what pain it is to have to watch only ugly people every day of your life..its stressful and can cause you to flip out.. It is as a result of sin that ugly pure race people came about..but God wants people to mix and bring some beauty..a kaliedoscope of colors bring beauty..look at the rainbow..can you imagine the rainbow being one color(black,white,blue) It would be wack!..get my point! So thank God for the native american indian who mixed with the slaves because they did not know racism..and for the whites who mixed with the slaves..out of that are beautiful people to watch…I cannot watch whoopie or flav for too long..it hurt my eyes but I can watch halle,Alecia,amerie,beyonce,tatyana,lisaraye, for hours..that is God’s design. Most of the women on the list are attractive black females and deserve to be on the list. I think Serena belongs on there just as much as the others. She is extremely sexy to 90% of men and not just black men. Beyonce is definitely sexy along with Rhianna. There are some that look better than others and some were overlooked but it all boils down to how one feels about herself not what others think.

I am Italian however I think that black woman are by far the sexiest women on this earth. I noticed that the majority of the women on this list are lighter skinned ladies. Not to say that they are not beautiful but come on there are many darker skinned ladies that are fine as can be but you never see them in polls like these.
