These teenagers is glamorising an ignorant culture, true, but so is the white kids who buy gangsta music and think it’s cool. This “Get Rich or Die Trying” attitude is bought by so many kids of any race today, all over the world, it’s messed up, and it really fuc*ing up the poorer kids with less options. Kids are just lacking respect for others in general, that’s what happens when we “sell” violence and brutality to them as pop culture . Not one race can be to blame. In the not so distant future, we will have reality shows where contestants get to hunt eachother down with guns on a decerted island, the winner get’s to live + some added funds, the losers get’s to die on TV. I think “Get Rich Or Die Famous” is a suitable title, that’s what we’re ALL supposed to worship these days isn’t it?

When young people brag about crime and materialism in public, and seeing them buy into that culture is not so strange, when we have spent so much money and effort on adevrtising it to them.

I respect your well stated opinion, and I agree with most of your points. However, in this case, I truly don’t think there is anything beyond 4 (or more) ignorant young men caught up in the thought of taking what someone else has and making it their own. I don’t think the police were overly anxious in arresting these guys, and I really don’t believe this will end up being anything more than what it is… a burglary gone wrong that ended up in 1st degree murder. We can wait to see what the jury has to say, but I’m willing to bet they will be found guilty, and it will be JUST. Extremely sad that 5 people will ALL lose their lives in the end…
