Pimp C Found Dead in Hollyweird Hotel

Pimp C was found dead in a Hollyweird hotel this morning and there is speculation he may have died of natural causes. He was only 33. TMZ reports:
L.A. County Fire responded to a 911 call at the Mondrian Hotel, located on trendy Sunset Strip in Hollywood. They arrived to his sixth floor hotel room to find him dead in bed.
Our best wishes and prayers go out to Pimp C’s family. We will have more details as the story develops.

And in defense of those that don’t know Pimp C. How many radio stations outside of Houston played UGK? I have all of UGK music and Pimp C’s. You couldn’t play most of thier songs without editing out profanity. Outside of Big Pimpin with Jay Z, most couldn’t name a UGK song.

Capt. Ed Winter of the L.A. County Coroner’s office tells TMZ that it appears as though rapper Pimp C died of natural causes in a Hollywood hotel room today.
We’re told no drug paraphernalia or other drugs were found in the room. The rapper, we’ve learned, was found fully clothed on top of the bed. He did not seem to have fallen or injured himself and he was positioned on his side.
Winter said it did not appear that there was anyone else in the room at the time of his death. An autopsy will be performed and toxicology test results will be available in six to eight weeks.
Pimp C, whose real name is Chad Butler, was one half of the Houston rap duo UGK.
If that is true then we can be sad but we cant be mad. God felt it was time to come home

I just googled him. This is such a tragedy. I’ve never heard of him but I’m very familiar with death at an unexpected time. Especially right around the holidays. My prayers go out to the family of this young man.

L.A. authorities investigating rapper Pimp C’s death

Pimp C, one-half of hip-hop duo UGK, was found dead Tuesday morning in his room at the Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood. He was 33 years old.
Craig Harvey, chief investigator at the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, said the rapper’s body would be examined Wednesday but a cause of death will likely be deferred pending additional tests. His officers were still at the scene Tuesday evening.
“At this time there’s no signs of foul play,” Capt. Ed Winter of the coroner’s office told the *****ociated Press later Tuesday. “It appears to be possibly natural, but pending autopsy and toxicology we can’t say the cause.”
L.A. County Fire found the rapper, whose real name was Chad Butler, dead in his bed at the Mondrian after responding to a 911 call by hotel security. The hotel released a statement that Pimp C’s family called and said the rapper was to have checked out the day before.
“Security personnel went to Mr. Butler’s room and found him in bed, apparently expired,” according to the hotel.
A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department spokesman said the death is being investigated by its homicide division.
Was this the ***** wit the nasty mouth that said hateful things about people publicly that he didn’t like? The universe turns like clockwork and always gets you back in the end.

I can only speak for myself, but I am sad when I hear of people dying on the news. No Pimp C was not a teacher or a police officer but he was a rapper that made music that I liked. No I didn’t like all his songs, but the majority.

I’m not a huge fan but I mourn for the end of this man’s life just the same. And I’d just like to say that this isn’t the first or last week that “our own” died, these people were just famous so it stood out more. We’re losing our people everywhere and we need to be vigilant and prayerful. God rest his soul.

My life has been impacted by teachers though, and other role models in my life. And if you can read, or if you graduated high school, theres a bunch of teachers who helped make that happen.

Just wanted to say that yes, at this point his death is a mystery, but being that I am a certified crime scene tech, ANY time homicide detectives are called to investigate a death, there is strong suspicion of murder. If they did not think it could be a murder, homicide detectives would not be at the scene. They’d simply collect their evidence, get an autopsy, etc. and then declare what the cause of death is.
