Chris Brown has decided to remove his name from the ballot at the Kids’ Choice Awards:
There won’t be any awkward Chris Brown moment at the Kids’ Choice Awards – the embattled pop star has withdrawn his name from the ballot.
Brown had been nominated for favorite male singer and favorite song for “Kiss Kiss” at the March 28 awards show on Nickelodeon.
The nominations came shortly before his arrest for allegedly attacking girlfriend and fellow pop star Rihanna.
A petition had been circulated to take his name off the ballot, but Nickelodeon said yesterday he was still on.
On Wednesday, Brown decided to take his name out of consideration.
Brown, 19, has been charged with two felonies after allegedly punching, choking and biting Rihanna, 21, on the day of the Grammy Awards.
Sources reported that the couple are back together.
Last year, the “Run It” singer was nominated for the same award and won for favorite male singer at the ceremony in Los Angeles.
In a statement, his representatives said while Brown would like to speak directly to his fans, he can’t because of his criminal case.
He thanked his fans for their support.
That’s a smart move. Finally, Chris Brown’s camp shows some sign of life.
Also, Chris Brown’s manager, Tina Davis, wants y’all to know she was not and will never be engaging in relations with his teen-aged magic stick:
Tina Davis, the woman TMZ identified as the person who sent Chris Brown the text message that ignited the infamous fight with Rihanna, is firing back at suggestions the text was of an “intimate nature.”
Davis just issued the following statement through her lawyer, Marshall B. Grossman:
“The relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client. There has never been any other relationship. The rumors in circulation are false. There are no emails between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown of the type which have been described in media reports.
If the source of the false rumors is identified, legal action will be taken. Given the nature of the legal issues affecting Mr. Brown, Ms. Davis will not be making any further statements.”
Who thinks that Tina is a quality manager who has nothing but good intentions…BUT was also getting her ‘damn near 40 year old’ backs beat up (no pun intended)??
