Pretty steep price, but one helluva house
Scottie Pippen’s $11.8 Million Florida Home Up For Sale
Move over, David Robinson. There’s a new king of the home court.
Following in the footsteps of his 1992 Dream Team teammate, who listed his own massive manse in San Antonio earlier this month, Chicago Bulls legend Scottie Pippen is taking another shot at selling his waterfront mansion-estate in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Pippen eyed a $16 million payday when he began shopping the trophy home in December 2010. However, the athlete’s mansion has seen some big price cuts over the past two years — $2.5 million in 2011 and $1.7 million in 2013. After a six-month hiatus off the market, it has returned with an ask of $11.8 million.
So what does the home of the six-time NBA champion have to offer? How about 13,500 square feet of living at its finest. Built in 2004, the Venetian-style spread has six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a three-story foyer, chilled wine room, a club and home theater, and an expansive terrace that overlooks 215 feet of private waterfront.
Outside, the three-quarter-acre property goes into full-blown resort mode with various patios, an outdoor kitchen and a palatial pool area replete with a spa, waterfalls, a water fountain play area and a giant water slide. However, much like Robinson’s Texas-sized property, the greatest selling point of the retired baller’s tropical trophy is, without a doubt, the waterfront basketball court.
