Texas Non-Profit Organization Offers “White Males Only” College Scholarship

A non-profit organization out of Texas is making national headlines behind their decision to begin offering a “white male only” college scholarship to accommodate white students who they say are being “excluded” from many financial aid options.

A Texas nonprofit group has decided to give scholarships exclusively to white men because they are supposedly the victims of discrimination.

The group, Former Majority Association for Equality (FMAE), believes that whites feel “excluded” and “left out” when they apply to college and for financial aid. Their goal is to award a $500 scholarship to five Caucasian male students with over a 3.0 grade point average.

According to the FMAE website, they are providing aid “to those that have found the scholarship application process difficult because they do not fit into certain categories or any ethnic group.” Applicants should be Caucasian males who “demonstrate a commitment to education” and “substantiate financial need.”

As there are definitely plenty of college scholarships available that require the prospective student to be a minority, do you think it’s racist to have scholarships that are only available to white students as well? Let’s discuss.

So all the work our ancestors have did, are being undone… we should have known things would go back when we continue to prefer the back seats of transportation, we use the N word like water, when we have all black schools, BET a network that denys mention of white designers, and top it off Black girls rock? How will we rise as a people is we continue to isolate our selves from the entire human race. Equality was fought for, only to be used occasionally. Jim Crow still lives because we never pulled the plug.
