Celebrities and regular folks have to protect themselves, but some become illegal gun totin’ goons and others pull out the gat when it’s not needed. Here are 9 folks busted for packing heat.

Lil Wayne

In 2007, Weezy was arrested in New York City after a performance at Beacon Theatre. Police discovered a gun on him while in custody and in 2009 he pleaded guilty to attempted criminal possession of a weapon. He served eight months at Riker’s Island.

Gucci Mane

In December 2013, the pregnant rapper got hit with two counts of possessing a firearm as a felon. He faces up to 10 years in prison.

Plaxico Burress

Plaxico was busted in 2008 for illegal possession of a firearm after he shot himself in the leg accidentally and served two years in prison. What an idiot.

Ja Rule

In 2007, Ja Rule was popped for possession of a firearm in New York City after cops discovered a gun in his car. He served two years in prison.

T.I.

Back in 2007, T.I. was popped by one-time hours before the BET Hip-Hop awards for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Dude had three unregistered firearms and two silencers.

Javaris Crittenton

In 2010 Javaris and Washington Wizards teammate Gilbert Arenas were involved in a gun conflict. Javaris was given probation and released from the team. In 2011, Javaris was charged with possession of a firearm and the murder of an Atlanta woman.

Raymond Felton

Raymond is currently facing weapons charges after pointing a gun at his estranged wife. She later turned the gun into authorities.

Soulja Boy

Soulja Boy was popped for carrying a loaded gun after running a red light in L.A. He served a few days behind bars and was released.

Chief Keef

In 2011, Chief Keef pointed a gun at officers. He was charged with aggravated assault with a firearm on a police officer and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon. He got lucky and was sentenced to house arrest.
