Twitter Blasts #WhenBlackTwitterAttacks
So, the good folks here at Bossip/Moguldom hosted a panel at SXSW called #WhenBlackTwitterAttacks about the impact of the so-called “Black Twitter” phenomenon. The actual discussion was about the benefits of African-Americans mobilizing on Twitter and the positive changes it has initiated (think: the George Zimmerman juror, support for Rachel Jeantel and getting various Black personalities jobs). While the people in attendance at the discussion had positive things to say, the title and hashtag caused quite a stir.
So, since we spend a lot of time highlighting when other people get dragged, it’s only fair that we share when we get blasted. So without further ado, take a look at the fallout from #WhenBlackTwitterAttacks.
