Okay so what do you get when you mix Lil’ Kim, Yandy Smith and a brand spankin’ new health care law together? The #GetCovered tour! The expectant rapper and the Love & Hip Hop reality TV star — plus a slew of other celebrities — are taking the Affordable Care Act on the road to get the public psyched to get covered by Obamacare. For Yandy, the #GetCovered tour is quite personal — she stresses that Obamacare helped provide Amir, her son, cost-effective health insurance for his kidney complications.

Pharrell Covers GQ’s April Issue, Responds To Oscars Loss Cleverly [PHOTO]

Seeing Pharrell win never gets old. That said, the Grammy winning producer appears on the April cover of GQ magazine. That’s right, The Neptune’s flourish continues. But this wasn’t completely the case at the Academy Awards earlier in March. Many assumed that Pharrell would win Best Original Song for his smash record “Happy” from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, but the Academy instead awarded “Let It Go” from Disney’s box office smash Frozen. When asked about being snubbed by the awards show, Pharrell cleverly answered:

“Well, trust me; when they read the results, my face was…frozen. But then I thought about it, and I just decided just to…let it go.”

It’s difficult to guess when an artist will find themselves musically, but it’s very apparent when it finally happens. That said, Asher Roth sounds very comfy on the material set to appear on his RetroHash sophomore LP, and that continues with today’s release, “Fast Life,” featuring Chicago MC Vic Mensa.
On a song dedicated to the curveballs life throws at you, the two MCs detail two totally opposite stories that are directly inspired by things they’ve seen and/or experienced. Roth’s verse follows the tumultuous life of a teen girl, who’s living in an abusive household and the damage that causes. Next up is the Save Money wordsmith, who discusses the difficulties of staying on the straight and narrow trail while growing up in his native Chi-town…
