I feel what Keri is saying. Why go to a Keri Hilson party, just to hate? It’s ridiculous. I would say that it’s the music industry, but it’s every industry. Haters usually see something in someone, that they want themselves or cannot have, and being hateful and evil just makes their jealousy more apparent. I haven’t heard Keri’s album, but I want to. The tracks and record sales will determine her success (as an artist). BTW…I love her hair. It’s different and that’s what makes her interesting. Eh, I heard the first song (don’t remember the name of it) she did with Ne-Yo and Kanye (Kanye didn’t produce it though) and..eh..I wasn’t impressed. Wasn’t impressed with her vocals on the Turning Me Off track, either. The beat was wack (I think Polow did that mess) and her vocals need work. I do believe she is a talented songwriter, but as far as a performer..I’m not feeling her so far but I’ll need to hear more tracks before I make my final decision on her.
I do agree though, that’s just straight up tacky to go to her album release party if you don’t like her.

I had the opportunity to meet Kerri Hilson and she is very down to earth and has a lot of talent. She has been in the industry for a while. The thing is this…Before she came out with her album, she had been doing a lot of writing for other female artists. In the music industry, the money is really in writing songs and making hot beats. I waited since ‘05/’06 for this girl to drop an album. I am dissapointed. It doesn’t suck but it is not that great either. Luckily for her, NO black female artist is bringing great music to pop right now. There are plenty of soul and some r&b but no major pop music with GOOD songs. So she has as much a chance as anyone. I wish her well.

There is never an excuse to be a *****, I don’t care if you’ve been in the industry 20 years…never an excuse. However, I’m not getting a “bad-attitude” vibe from her. The reason that I won’t buy it is because I don’t have time for messy people and she is very messy because even though it’s her voice on the song,she said a “hater” released it without her permission but there wouldn’t have been nothing to release if she hadn’t said it in the first place…..
her album does suck though.. why is it hard to take.. it won’t be the first and it won’t be the last.

If you been in the industry that long, you should already know about the “haters”. Get a life and write some of those “hits” for your own next album, because ‘in a perfect world’, you would have put out a better product.
