The actress brought her hubby along for the 2014 AOL NewFronts event at Duggal Greenhouse in NYC.
Finally! Almost a year after the June wedding of Zoe Saldana and Marco Perego, the married couple made their first official public appearance together on Tuesday, April 29.
Saldana and Perego hit the red carpet in New York City, attending AOL’s NewFronts event promoting the company’s new lineup. While they have been snapped by paparazzi in the months since their nuptials while out and about, this is the first time they have attended a public event as husband and wife.
The Rosemary’s Baby actress, 35, stunned at the evening soiree, looking chic in a blue and white Roksanda Ilincic number. Her husband let out his trademark man-bun, wearing his long, highlighted hair down, and sporting a pinstriped suit for the occasion.
The pair was at the star-studded event to promote Saldana’s work on My Hero. She serves as executive producer for the AOL program, which shows celebrities paying tribute to one person who changed their lives.
Saldana married the acclaimed artist in secret in London last summer. “I’m not a private person, but I am discreet, so [getting married in secret] felt right,” Saldana told Net-A-Porter’s The Edit in March.
The Avatar actress is currently leading the TV reboot of Rosemary’s Baby—a gig Saldana told Us Weekly is “wonderful.” Speaking about the show’s filming in Paris, she added, “It was great to have the opportunity to tell a great story and to play an amazing character and work with an amazing filmmaker like Agnieszka Holland.”
Looks like life is finally beautiful for Zoe… She’s getting great gigs and she finally tied down a white man for herself!
The AOL event wasn’t the only one for the Saldana/Perego family though last night. The group, which included Zoe’s sisters Mariel and Cisley also joined designer Prabal Gurung for a private dinner in honor of Cinestar productions.
