Meth is saying that his Navigator getting repossessed was no big deal. It’s simple; his stacks are in order, but his Buddha habit merely cause him to forget:

Method Man was going to pay his bills … but then he got high. Despite recent reports that the rapper is so broke that his 2008 Lincoln Navigator was repossessed to pay back taxes, Method Man — whose real name is Clifford Smith — insists his cash flow is just fine. In fact, he says, his penchant for marijuana is to blame for the mishap.

……Citing the Wu Tang member for being $52,503 in arrears on his personal income taxes, the state Department of Taxation showed up at the Staten Island native’s home at 6 a.m. March 19 with “four NYPD cops and the repo team,” Meth told us. “I knew why they were there. It wasn’t like ‘Oh my God! Noo!! Don’t take it!’ like it is on that TV show [“Operation Repo”]. I was half-dressed, and it was so early that I just said, ‘Okay, you’re taking the truck. … Aight.’”

The back story, according to the rapper, is simple. “Myself, I’m a pothead,” he said on the set of a video shoot for his new album, “Blackout 2,” with Redman. “It’s no secret. Everyone knows that. I go on the road and forget everything else. Sure, [the tax department] sent letters to my house saying, ‘We need this money.’ They started sending them in 2002. Here it is, 2009, and I never paid this s— because I don’t think like that!” “I could have easily just written them a check for whatever amount, but no — I waited until they knocked on this door and were like, ‘We got your truck and we outta here,’ ” he laughed. “Now I’m thinking we’ve gotta get our truck back, which means I have to get all my paperwork together,” the rapper continued. “That means days of going through mail, ’cause I got mail like woah.

Fifty G’s is not chump change and giving up a Navigator feels better than giving up that kind of money. Lets get it together Meth. SMH

Meth is NOT gay. Back when he was big, he’d always have his (then gf) wife with him. I remember one time I was in the salon and his wife was under a dryer, he walked in, handed her a stack, and walked out. He always took care of that girl..has mad love for her. Other than his music, that was something else that I loved about him. It’s really nice to see a man be there for his lady.

I actually believe this… Addiction causes some people to stay stuck and on a deeper level those of us with a background from the hood have a tendency to self sabotage our lives whenever we get a lil success.

It’s like we need to reprogram ourselves and gain enlightenment but doing that is impossible when somebody is using drugs.

I agree 100 &10%. I’ve seen so many friends lose everything by self sabotaging their lives with drugs including alchohol. It’s easy to blame substance abuse/addiction or having a tuff life, bad parenting, friends, and society; however, freewill is very important when you become an adult, but so many people have no idea what to do with it. As a result some so-called scholars and politicians make it very easy with rockfeller drug laws for those who can’t seem to control themselves or find ‘gainful’ employment. I hope Meth takes control of his life. Its apparent that he made it out of the hood, unlike so many of his friends who have the misfortune of being stuck inside of poverty and the system for one reason or another. When we allow drugs to control us we are serving a different master who is insatiable. Could be the ID…maybe the Ego.

Yes I’ve seen it too & the way I see it life skills are up to us to develop and some people never take responsibility and I think it’s because they don’t realize the power is all in their hands now.

For some knowing how to take control of their lives is difficult and low self-esteem, past abuse, drug use and more make it all too easy to not care.

However the truth is Daddy not hitting mommy anymore, and *****ody’s touching you inappropriately anymore or beating the hell out of you because of who you are and what you’ve done anymore.

People out on these streets need real help and what happens more often than not is they don’t live up to their potential due to some poor beliefs and bad habits.

Isn’t it true that back in 1989 or so there was a JUDGE who deemed such testing on GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES unlawful and goes against the 4TH AMENDMENT?

This Judge put it best when he said, “its technological SURVEILLANCE”.

Please elaborate and give me your thoughts on that.

And for any of you thinking that he has too much money and is too busy to take care of his bills is a damn fool. If you are in the entertainment industry you hire a business manager which is usually an accountant to handle your financial responsibilities!!!

Meth should be more reasonable. He disregards all of the IRS corespondence. Ignoring them won’t solve matters. He could of made payment arrangements with the IRS if he was having financial difficulties. His behavior is just irresponsible. Keep in mind he has a wife and children.
