Woman Threatens To Shoot Up Burger King Over Stale Cinnamon Roll

A customer of the Burger King in Mount Pleasant threatened to shoot employees earlier this week because her cinnamon roll was stale, according to a police report.

Via The Post & Courier reports:

Nobody has been arrested in the ordeal before 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Mount Pleasant Town Centre restaurant at 1825 N. Highway 17. Officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department saw the suspects’ car leaving the scene, but they could not catch up with the vehicle, the incident report stated.

Police Inspector Chip Googe said Thursday that an investigator was following up with some suspects. An outcome in the case had not been determined, he said.

The woman was one of three who had ordered food when she started shouting at employees, according to the report. She said her Cinnabon roll wasn’t fresh, a witness told the police, and became upset when she learned that only one bun was left.

The other women also argued about bad service, the report stated.

The woman and her two friends, though, walked out after a manager came to speak with her. But she soon returned and said she was going to “shoot everyone” inside, a witness told the police.

Another witness said the woman’s hand was stuffed inside her purse when she issued the threat, the report stated.

“I’m going to shoot down the place,” she said, according to the account.

The three women left when the employees threatened to call the police, the report stated.

Witnesses relayed to dispatchers the license plate number of the white Dodge Charger that the women left in. One officer saw the car on northbound Highway 17, the report stated, but he soon lost sight of it.
