August clears the air about whether or not he got his hat back, why he hung himself on Instagram, and blazes the stage at Summer Jam 2014….

August Alsina Talks Hat Incident And Hanging Himself On Instagram

Rising R&B crooner August Alsina has been making just as many headlines for his filter-free demeanor as he has for his impressive debut album Testimony lately and he recently opened up about both just before going on to rip the stage with his powerhouse performance at the Hot 97 Summer Jam concert last weekend.

Among other things, an energetic August who seemed to be in a great mood slightly cleared the air while speaking to Global Grind about the recent video of him going HAM on fans after getting the hat given to him by his late brother Melvin stolen during a club performance, buying his first range rover, the now-infamous Instagram photo of him hanging from a noose and more.

Check out a few excerpts below:

On the video of him going off on fans after getting his hat stolen:
Look man, it wasn’t even about that. I got my hat back (laughs)…I definitely got my hat back.

On what’s next for him:
I think right after this, I wanna kick off a tour and kinda just really go out and touch the people myself. I never did my own tour so, I think the people are ready. I’m ready and I thin the people are ready so, that’s what’s next.

August also spoke on the Instagram photo of him hanging from a noose that sent his fans into a frenzy last month, the interesting name he gave his new Range Rover and more. Hit the flip to hear what else he had to say, along with the full video of his interview and performance from Summer Jam.

On his mindset behind posting the Instagram photo of himself hanging from a noose to promote his new video:
I can’t tell y’all until the video drops. It aint a secret…it’s just….it’s coming, it’s on the way.
