Ain’t no money in the music business people. That’s why every singer and rapper endorses or acts. Speaking of, a Marvin Gaye biopic would be the perfect vehicle for Maxwell to sing a soundtrack and act a la Dreamgirls. Somebody get this movie made.

Maxwell should be able to make a successful return to the recording industry, but when he does, I hope he abandons the cat daddy pleather jacket. He doesn’t look bad with short hair, but the jacket is brand old and it’s not a good look for him.

Um, it’s a very well-known fact in NYC that Maxwell is bi… he had a boy toy that worked at APT, the Meatpacking District bar (hence the reason he was there all the time… plus he was always at the insane Sunday night party, which leaned about 50% gay/50% house music folks).

I keep hearing that he’s working on a new album, so there should be some new slo-jams soon enough.

If that’s true…Sony missed the boat.He could’ve broken new ground.Just about every study shows gays

Maxwell is releasing an album called A Black Summer’s Night. He’s not going to get the airplay or the publicity to support his album though. Everything is “big business” now, with all those corporate payoffs to the radio stations and video channels. There’s no song request lines anymore and the stations are programmed to play certain songs. That’s why an artist with no real musical talent can be played up to 30 times a day on a radio station like some kind of brainwashing. Video killed the radio star for real and people need to stand up and fight the powers that be.

Maxwell completed 3 new albums (trilogy), but Columbia Records hasn’t put them out yet because there were some people who were let go and a big shuffle of executives, so Maxwell’s first album has been pushed back. He had his new single up for a minute on his myspace page but Columbia Records made him take it down. The new single is hot. The latest news is that his new album will be released right after the New Year.

I like his old look better it was more urban for the time and now he just looks boring. I bet he would do a sell out show though!
