June is Black Music Month and to pay homage to the musical contributions of some of our favorite artists we’re taking a look at a few of our favorite celebrity singers turned actors who make it tough to decide which role we like them in best.

Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer has a new album coming out and will be featured in a TV special that will air on TVOne on June 28th at 9 pm Eastern/8 Central which XFINITY will sponsor. XFINITY subscribers will also be able to catch the J. Hud special with XFINITY OnDemand. XFINITY will also host a special mini-preview of the J. Hud. concert for subscribers and non-subscribers CelebrateBlackTV.com June 28th at the same time as the on-air broadcast.

There are several movies that Jennifer has starred in which are available OnDemand such as Dreamgirls, Sex and the City and The Secret Life of Bees.

Will Smith

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air has transformed from being the kid from Philly to a well respected Hollywood actor and true celebrity.

Janet Jackson – She actually started as Penny on Good Times before she was making music so she counts, technically.

Jamie Foxx – He’s an actor/comedia/musician and he’s great at all of them. He’s just not fair.

Tristan “Mack” Wilds – Most of us know him as Mike from the Wire but he made a great album last year, too.

Beyonce– The multifaceted singer has gone from Grammy winner to Oscar hopeful
