Mom High On PCP Stabs 12-Year-Old Son, 2-Year-Old Neighbor

A Louisiana woman is in jail for a bizarre incident where she ran around naked in her neighborhood and attacked her son and a 2-year-old boy while high on PCP.

A Monroe woman is accused in a bizarre series of stabbings and events. Police said Latasha Hampton attacked her 12-year-old son at the Hillco Apartments late last night.

After breaking and jumping through several windows there, in the nude. She then went to a nearby home, broke in, and stabbed a 2-year-old boy.

Residents at Hillco Apartments are sizing up the mess allegedly created by this woman, Latasha Hampton. Police said they received several complaints, in different locations about Hampton’s bizarre behavior.

Those events led police to Martinez Street where they said Hampton broke into two apartments, diving head first into windows, breaking the glass.

They also said Hampton stabbed her 12-year old son in the parking lot.

A resident who did not want to be identified witnessed the events.

“I heard the kid, tell the girl, like mama I love you. I don’t want to die tonight,” the resident said.

Mark Johnson with the Monroe Police Department said the police suspect she was high on PCP.

“From how I understand it, there were bystanders who were actively fighting her. Trying to prevent her from stabbing that child,” Johnson said.

Johnson said Hampton ran to a nearby home on Laplata and took out another window. She then grabbed a 2-year old and stabbed him.

We spoke to the home owner who also did not want to be identified. She said her family is traumatized. She also said Hampton kept saying the boy was going to die and Jesus was coming for them.

Police arrived and were able to arrest Hampton

They said Hampton was naked throughout the entire ordeal.

The home owner said she does not know Hampton, but apartment residents said Hampton has a relative that lives in the complex.

At last check, the two children are in the hospital and listed in serious condition.

Hampton was also taken to the hospital before she was booked in the Ouachita Parish Correctional Center.

Hampton’s bond is set at $300,500.
