It all comes down to this, if the public stays mad at CB, then he will not be successful. So he is going to have to do something that will make the public forgive and/or forget. God is forgiving, so who are we to keep banging him over the head with this situation, the courts are going to handle that. I just hope that he learns from this misfortune and receive Family Therapy so he does not repeat his behavior. Rhihanna is no exception. Maybe it’s just me, but I really don’t understand the rationale behind some people thinking that Rihanna should somehow “defend” Chris Brown. If a man pummels your face, you’re supposed to turn around, put on some shades, and support him?

He did this by himself, and he should endure the consequences of his actions.

And all of a sudden he’s becoming an alkie? He looked fine to me a few weeks ago when he was jet skiing. This is not what this guy expected would happen. We live in the age of “Now”, meaning the past is irrelevant and there is no future, just Now. Most young people are Nowists, meaning they live for the moment, moment to moment.

The good thing is that he’s such a young man. He can ride this rollercoaster, he can make it. He just needs people around him to speak reality and truth to him at all times.

Very interesting post! I agree that it doesn’t appear that he didn’t expect the severity of this backlash, but I’m very surprised that, from the outside, neither did anyone in his camp. There were a series of damaging PR mistakes made that exacerbated an already serious situation, IMHO. I think there was really a belief that this was just going to go away, that nothing needed to be said or conveyed externally in order to address public sentiment.

I have to question the judgment of people around him as well.

You are right he has to answer for what he did. But again, I too question the people in his camp.

Who knows, CB could had been more remorseful than he is showing, but maybe his “lawyers” told him to keep his mouth shut. Sometimes these celebs want to do or not do things but people in their camp either tell them no or egg them on.

Personally, if CB breaks down on camera and says he’s sorry, the public would forgive him in a heartbeat, no matter what his punishment would be. But so far it doesn’t seem like that is going to happen, but for his sake, I hope it does.

We all have made mistakes and didn’t want to “feel” the consquences of our actions. I’m sure CB doesn’t want to get beat up in jail or on the street, even though he beat up Rhianna. But that is the chance he has to face.

Whatever happens, again, it doesn’t matter if CB gets beat up or goes to jail, if he is sorry and really remorseful and shows it, then his fans will be there when he gets out of jail and the public will let him redeem himself and make music again.

If this is even true, I’ll believe the part about them being depressed. For whatever reason Rih’s ppl thought he was going to take a plea deal and do some jail time. I think they were surprised by his plea of NOT GUILTY. But him taking jail time and not going to trial truly only benefits her.
I think thats why her lawyers keep saying she wants it over quickly. If theres nothing left to this story why would she be worried about it going to trial? Why stress getting it over with quickly if shes obviously already moved on with her life? Hes the one stuck in limbo, he cant go anywhere or say anything. He might be better off going to trial-and telling his side of the story.
When the time comes I think he will take responsibilty and apologize but his charges are way excessive, assault and battery would have been enough IMO. We all know he hit her, but felony assault?

So we dont know how much restraint he did or didnt use. If that report is true and she was hitting him numerous times had he stayed and waited on the police she would have been charged as well.
