Allen Iverson Asks Judge To Throw Out Ex-Wife’s Restraining Order Request

According to TMZ reports:

NBA legend Allen Iverson is calling BS on his estranged wife, who’s trying to score a restraining order against him — insisting he NEVER harassed her or her family.

Iverson just filed new legal docs in Fulton County, GA — asking a judge to throw out Tawanna Iverson’s bid for a protective order.

TMZ broke the story … Tawanna claims Allen “has engaged in increasingly contemptuous, threatening, and disturbing behavior” over the last few months … and she’s afraid things will get worse. Them’s strong words.

A judge has yet to rule.

Usher Grilled In Court Over Sleeping With Bridesmaids Of His Wedding

Yesterday we reported on Usher crying in court when Tameka’s lawyers got at him saying he was a bad dad who does ecstacy. Today, they are going at him for hitting Tameka’s bridesmaids:

Screw soap operas, Usher’s child custody trial has all the drama a lonely housewife needs — ’cause his ex-wife’s lawyer dropped a bombshell in court … accusing him of sexing one of Tameka Foster’s bridesmaids.

Usher was being cross-examined by Foster’s lawyer yesterday in Fulton County court … about his claim that Tameka brings nannies in and out of their children’s lives.

Tameka’s lawyer asked Usher if one of the nannies in question had “left Miami because you were discovered in bed with Maya Fox Davis?” Sources close to the couple tell TMZ Davis was a bridesmaid for Tameka … and the alleged incident happened during their marriage.

Usher’s attorney quickly objected, but you gotta watch the clip to see how it played out in court. There’s also a contentious exchange between Usher and Tameka’s lawyer regarding that whole spitting incident.

The trial is in recess, and will be back in session in July. Until then … there’s always “Revenge.”

Pilar Sanders Speaks On Deion Sanders Divorce And Domestic Abuse

Tanya Young Williams (yes from BBWs and Jayson Williams) interviewed Pilar Sanders on her troubled marriage with Deion Sanders. Despite Prime Time’s denial of any physical/domestic abuse, Pilar says otherwise…

Q: You’ve stated that Deion has abused you in the past. In what ways?
A: Many ways. Financially it started before Christmas and continues until today. He just stopped providing for the family. He cut credit cards. He cut financial support … No resources at all, whatsoever. Even when we’re still in the house, my daughter would beg for clothes, he wouldn’t buy her any clothes. It would come to a point where she would say, dad will you get me a sandwich from Subway and he would be like, no – that’s a five dollar sandwich. He would tell her go ask your mommy. What he would try to do was use every piece of leverage he could ever get a hold of and try to use against me and try to turn the children against me. So what he was telling the kids was that basically, if you stay with me I can provide for you, your mother doesn’t have money, you’re not going to be able to get clothes, you wont be able to get food, who knows what type of place you will be at, but here, you will have everything you need and want.

Q: Has there been physical abuse from him in the past?
A: Yes, there has on more than one occasion. And he’s done it in front of people. He did it in front of two of our producers on our show, Primetime Love … It’s so idiotic and its funny and its not funny. During the shooting of it, I have a very light personality, with that, there were a lot of parts that were just naturally funny and it just kinda happened. So he called shooting down and he called a meeting with myself and two producers from Los Angeles and we went to our back room where the sitting area is – he said “there has to be a good cop and a bad cop and there is only one comedian here and the comedian is me.” I just started laughing and said, “Oh my God you are ridiculous” and I say, “I can’t help it if I’m funnier than you”. Then he leaped across the table and grabbed my neck and squeezed it to the point that I thought that he poked a hole in my trachea. The two producers didn’t know what to do. They couldn’t get him off of me. They couldn’t do anything so I started kicking him in his groin. That’s the only thing that got him off of me … There were other times when he grabbed me and ripped jewelry … When he was verbally abusive, I didn’t recognize it as abuse. I took his nasty behavior as his personality, I just thought he was a really mean jerk. He was just rude to people because he’s rude to a lot more people than me.

Usher Cries In Court About Talk Of Him Being A Bad Father To Children

Usher is going through the motions with Tameka in court. He admits to smoking reefers, but is “objected” when it comes to Ecstasy. Then, the lil guy shed some tears when they talked about how he sucks as a father.

How can you not love this guy? Nas is readying his return with his 10th solo album Life Is Good and he did a pretty dope interview with Complex that we wanted to share with you. In the interview he goes into depth about his divorce — something he hasn’t really done too much in the past. He also addresses his relationship with daughter Destiny, y’all know that drama was all over Bossip. Peep what he had to say below:

“Daughters” was an emotional record. What made you be so honest?

This is the first time I’m dealing with a teenage daughter, and it blows me away. I don’t know that you’re ever prepared to be a parent. Once you become one, that’s your responsibility. It’s more like me talking to myself, about how I could have been there a lot more. I beat myself up for not being the best I could be. I would ask her: “Am I a cool dad?” or “Am I a good dad? Did I fawk up?” And she would say, “Nah, you’re good.” That’s important to me because I started as a teen. I was around 19 when her mother was pregnant. My daughter means a lot to me. It’s just a record that came from the heart.

What’s the most important thing that you want to teach your son about women?

He has to have his own life. My experience could be the wrong thing for his life and what’s ahead of him. A lot of older people are giving the worst advice, based on the problems they had. I’m going to need him to tell me what to do. That’s what I’m looking forward to. If I’m here, we’ll talk. If not, he’s going to figure it out on his own. He’ll take his mother’s words, he’ll take my words, and then there’s the truth. Whatever he feels, he’s got to go with his heart, and be a man in every occasion.

What’s your relationship with the blogs and Twitter?

I don’t understand how artists get pissed off at people on Twitter. I appreciate a good joke. I mean, who are you? Not to say that people should have the toughest skin, and nothing should bother you… Maybe it’s just my age. I know who I am. I know what I’ve survived, and I know what I’ve done. That isht wasn’t easy. So for someone who doesn’t know anything about that to comment on it, you can’t be mad at them. They don’t know any better.

We like it that he can appreciate a good joke, cuz a lot of artists be gettin’ their panties in a knot over what we at Bossip consider good clean chuckles…

Usher blasted his ex-wife in court today — testifying that Tameka Foster flew into a jealous rage, hitting him, throwing food, and worst of all … spitting on his girlfriend.

Usher took the stand in his ongoing child custody trial with his ex, and under questioning by his attorney, revealed how Tameka once went ballistic and “wanted to fight” … when he showed up at her house with his new sidepiece.

Ush testified Tameka walked to his car and said, “I’m gonna kick your ass. Bitch get out of the car. How dare you bring this woman into my subdivision in my house?”

He added, “She continued to spit. At this point she pulled the door open, tried to swing at her.”

Usher claims he had to get out of the car and block Tameka … who then hit him. Usher said he pleaded with Tameka to calm down, but claims “she threw a plate of food at the car” … as he fled the situation.

You gotta hear Usher describe the intense showdown — and remember, Tameka previously testified she once told the gf, “I will f**k you up.”

Friends Say Mary Kennedy Driven To Drugs/Suicide By Philandering Husband Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

The Kennedy “curse” strikes again, but in this case we’re inclined to think the curse has more to do with the Kennedy men’s cheating ways.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s estranged wife, Mary, who battled her husband’s rumored philandering by turning to alcohol and prescription drugs, hanged herself in a barn on their Westchester estate yesterday, sources told The Post.

The 52-year-old mother of four — the latest victim of a family dynasty cursed with tragedies — may have taken her own life because she was haunted by her broken marriage, her friends lamented.

“She was deeply troubled, abusing alcohol and prescription meds,” a close family friend said. “She had cause. She was used up and tossed away by Bobby. That was awful.”

Bedford police responded at 1:36 p.m. to a report of a “possible unattended death” — meaning there were no witnesses — at the estate.

After authorities arrived, they cut her down and tried to revive her. She was found by a housekeeper, ABC News reported.

Mary was found “inside an out-building on that property,” police said in a statement.

She left behind a note, and none of her children were home at the time, sources said.

The Kennedy family dealt stoically with the latest in the long line of shocking deaths.

“We deeply regret the death of our beloved sister Mary, whose radiant and creative spirit will be sorely missed by those who loved her,” the family said in a statement.

“Our heart goes out to her children, who she loved without reservation. We have no further comment at this time.”

A grim-faced RFK Jr. showed up at the house at around 8 p.m.

The third of 11 children of former US Sen., Attorney General and presidential candidate Robert Francis Kennedy, he married Mary Richardson in 1994, one month after his first marriage ended following 12 years.

The ceremony took place aboard a research vessel on the Hudson River, a fitting spot for the couple, who were environmental advocates.

A family friend said Mary had known the Kennedy clan long before she married Bobby, and had been a close pal of his sister — also named Mary, but known as Kerry — since they were 15-year-olds.

“She had grown up with the Kennedy family, having been Kerry’s best friend since they were teenagers,” the friend said.

The marriage broke down amid reports of her addiction and rumors of his involvement with other women.

“She knew Bobby her whole life, and now he rejected her. Tragic,” the family friend said.

Kennedy, 58, filed for divorce on May 12, 2010, two days after Mary called police to complain about her husband — but she appeared “visibly intoxicated” when officers arrived, according to police reports.

As of yesterday, the divorce was not finalized, TMZ.com reported. But Kennedy has since been dating actress Cheryl Hines, sources said.

A day after the divorce filing, Bedford police were again called to the home because of a report of a “domestic incident” in which Mary was reportedly drunk.

Two days later, she was charged with driving under the influence when she was caught speeding down the Taconic State Parkway. Her license was suspended.

Ethel Kennedy, her mother-in-law, sent a handwritten letter, seeking leniency and calling Mary a “kind, loving and generous person.”

Cops confirmed then that they had been called to the estate several times in the previous years. Mary’s close friend pointed to the strain of her 18-year marriage.

“She was lovely. She always looked out for you,” she said, but added, “She did not have it easy, being Bobby’s wife.

“I remember being seated at a dinner next to Bobby around 10 years ago that she was also at — it was the first time I had met either of them — and he put his hand on my thigh under the table. We hadn’t even spoken but to say hello. He is such a dog that way.”

The friend, who requested anonymity, alluded to the problems of other women who have married into the fabled clan: “Like all Kennedy wives, she was expected to tow the line. Stay quiet, take care of the kids, tolerate the affairs and look happy. She took solace in yoga and meditation.”

Still, the philandering took “a terrible toll,” the source said, adding, “He got all the glory, and she got no acknowledgment for what she did: holding it all together at home.”

Kennedy rarely spoke about his private life, but opened up to Oprah Winfrey in a 2007 interview.

“Pretty soon after my dad died” — referring to his father’s assassination in 1968 — “I started taking drugs,” he said. After overcoming his addiction he became an environmental advocate.

Mary, who had worked as an architect before her marriage, took up the same environmental causes and tried to turn the Bedford estate into a showcase, according to her friend.

“She was a gentle soul. She was very proud of how she had turned their family home into the truly greenest/eco-friendly home ever,” she said.

The friend said Mary took over caring for the two children from her husband’s first marriage — and then raised four of her own.

“Like so many parents of Kennedy kids, she was dealing with a wild bunch,” she said. “The kids were always getting into scrapes, and Mary was forever rescuing them.”

It sounds like this woman had an incredibly hard life. 18 years of marriage to someone who doesn’t treat you right can’t be easy and it sounds like she had her hands full with the kids.

Controversial Obama Biography Claims The President And First Lady Once Talked Divorce

We thought they had a model matrimony-dom but a new book claims the Obamas were once headed for divorce.

The controversial new biography “The Amateur” (yes the same book that says Chelly-O and Oprah were beefin’ over Barack and that Clinton called the President an amateur) also makes claims that the President’s political ambition once nearly devastated his marriage to Michelle Obama and even goes so far as to say friends feared he might take his own life at one low point:

In 2000, after eight years of marriage, Barack Obama decided — despite Michelle’s objections — to challenge Democratic Congressman Bobby Rush in a primary on Chicago’s South Side. Obama was crushed in a 2-to-1 Rush landslide.

Edward Klein writes, “During the dark days that followed his defeat, he turned to Michelle for comfort. But she was in no mood for sympathy . . . He had refused to listen to her warnings about taking on” formidable Rush. The primary also left them in debt.

Klein, who claims his book is based on nearly 200 interviews, wrote that Obama confided to friends that they were talking divorce. “Michelle actually had divorce papers drawn up,” Klein writes, citing one of her friends.

“Obama was so depressed that some of his friends worried that he was suicidal,” the book adds, without elaboration.

Obama went on to win a US Senate seat in 2004 that helped establish his credentials for running for the White House four years later.

Northwestern University professor Steven Rogers told Klein that Obama talked about his ambition after they met at a golf fund-raiser. “My wife will not allow me to run for the Senate until I clear up the debts from my unsuccessful run for Congress,” Obama said according to Rogers, who chipped in $3,000 and said Obama was then $8,000 in debt.

The White House dismissed Klein’s work as fiction. “Ed Klein has a proven history of reckless fabrication in order to sell books,” presidential spokesman Eric Schultz said. “Nobody in their right mind would believe the nonsense in this one.”

We’ve already determined that this guy deserves the side-eye for lying to sell books in the past, but even if the Obamas did have problems that just makes them an even stronger couple for being able to get through them.

Billy Bob Thornton Tells Nightline He Blew Marriage With Jolie By Being Insecure

“I blew it because I didn’t think I was good enough for her,” Jolie’s ex-husband told “Nightline” Tuesday night. “She has one way she wanted to live her life and I had another way to live mine and I was just too insecure.”

The quirky couple, who met in 1999 while co-starring in “Pushing Tin,” married in 2000 before calling it quits three years later.

At the time, both were Oscar winners and Thornton had more fame than the “Girl, Interrupted” actress.

But when Jolie, now 36, played the lead role in 2001’s “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,” the tables turned — and Thornton, 56, found that he couldn’t keep up.

“When you’re in a relationship, any two celebrities or whatever, you know, I think that puts on a lot of pressure,” he said in the interview. “When Angie and I got married, during that time, I was more famous than she was to start with and then when she becomes this big thing, it’s hard in these relationships.”

While they were married, the couple became tabloid fodder with reports that they wore vials of each other’s blood around their necks and even had a “dungeon” where they engaged in wild sex acts.

The reality, Thornton said, was that the two had a strong connection, but one that was doomed to fail because he “chickened out.”

“I did feel like the Phantom of the Opera hiding in the catacombs,” he admitted. “People have actually said that I didn’t deserve to be with her.”

Now, Jolie is happily engaged to Brad Pitt, 48, and Thornton said they are still “good friends.”

“We had a great marriage and I chickened out because I didn’t feel good enough,” he said. “That’s all that happened. It was no big deal, we never hated each other.”
