A black scholar and director at Harvard University by the name of, Henry Louis Gates Jr., was arrested at his own house. It looks to be a case of racial profiling:

Henry Louis Gates Jr., the nation’s pre-eminent black scholar, is accusing Cambridge police of racism after he was arrested while trying to force open the locked front door of his home near Harvard University. Cambridge police were called to the home Thursday afternoon after a woman reported seeing a man “wedging his shoulder into the front door as to pry the door open,” according to a police report.

An officer ordered the man to identify himself, and Gates refused, according to the report. Gates began calling the officer a racist and said repeatedly, “This is what happens to black men in America.” Continue »

C-Murder(and probably his family) is doing whatever it takes to get his ass out of that murder charge he is facing. His boy is stepping up and taking the fall:

A friend of C-Murder is helping to clear his name. C-Murder, real name, Corey Miller, will be re-tried for murder in three weeks. He is charged with second degree murder for the death of 16 year-old, Steve Thomas at a night club back in January of 2002. C-Murder was convicted in 2003 but awarded a new trial for complications with witnesses. A jury for his new trial will be chosen in early August.

Vicious Gregory McCalium, 23 – jailed for 4½ years yesterday – looked like a “car accident” victim after he was punched by battling grandad Frank Corti Frank – woken by noises as he lay in bed with his wife Margaret – DODGED the knife as the yob lunged at him in his hallway, FEINTED and DECKED him with two massive right hooks.

The former Army boxer, who as a 16-year-old won the National Association of Boys Clubs Championship, then coolly made a citizen’s arrest and waited for cops. A judge yesterday told McCalium – who wound up with a black eye, split lip and severe swelling – he “got what he deserved”. After seeing him jailed, modest Frank insisted he had no choice but to “restrain” him. He said: “We are pleased he won’t be troubling us for a few years.”
