India Arie’s album release party went down last night in NYC. Good music isn’t as lucrative as it used to be, but it’s great to see folks like India still getting it in. Speaking of under-payed talent, Talib Kweli took the stage last night at the Rush Philanthropic Art Foundation’s 2009 Gold Rush Award to support the arts in New York City. Bossip was in L.A. last night for Akon and Teairri Mari’s Grammy’s after party. T. Mari is trying give these R & B heffas a scare, because she wasn’t too bad.

Pub-goers out in the UK tried to test the validity of Coolio’s “Gangsta Paradise” and got what they paid for and more as he charged the crowd:

The Celebrity Big Brother star was held back by bouncers after losing his cool. The rapper was only minutes into his act when he was hit by a hail of missiles including plastic bottles and ice cubes. One of his two-man backing group received a cut eye in the fracas. Continue »

Ne-Yo is  performing in Amsterdam, doing the damn thing from the looks of it. His gentle-man swag is definitely grown up, but just a little soft to say the least.

On a side note, the crooner is about to help Chrisette Michelle in her next album:

R&B singer/songwriter Chrisette Michele, best known for the 2007 breakthrough single “If I Had My Way” is back and ready to heat things up with the help of Ne-Yo ! Michele, who released the Def Jam debut “I Am” in 2007, will release the first single from her as-yet-untitled sophomore album February 10th. The single, titled “Epiphany,” finds Michele grasping the reality of a failed relationship singing “I think I’m just about over being your girlfriend. I’m leaving.
