Despite his recent run-ins with the law, Akon officially made 2007 his year. Billboard has announced Akon as the Pop Artist of the Year. The release of his album Konvicted, as well as a host of singles certified that the 40+ singer will continue to rule the charts. Too bad for his ex boo. Some girls wouldn’t mind being wife #27 with a man of his stature.

Akon showed up to court today to plead not guilty to charges of endangering a minor and harassment for body slamming a white kid at a concert. The parents of the boy have pulled out their Ezel “slippin on some soap” come-up game.

Some media outlets are reporting Akon’s age as 34 based on court documents. Damn, we thought he was pushin’ 40.

Akon will face criminal charges after his crowd tossing incident back in June. Akon body-slammed some kid from the crowd at Fishkill-based WSPK (104.7 FM)’s annual KFEST concert at Dutchess Stadium in New York. A girl was injured and suffered from a concussion, and now Akon must appear in a Fishkill, NY court Monday morning for arraignment.

He’ll just be charged with a misdemeanor for endangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment, no big deal. His old ass just needs to know to quit it with the crowd participation. We all remember what happened when he freaked that 14-yr. old Pastor’s daughter at a performance.

Akon who has denied being a polygamist and lies about his age will not be getting married to twenty-three year old model Rachel Ritfeld. The British beauty opens up about not being able to be one of Akon’s wives:

“The reality check really came when Akon told me he had his fifth child with one of his wives. For the first few months I got completely freaked out because even though I knew he had other wives, I never really thought about him being with them because his main attention was always on me – or so I thought. He does not live with his wives but the birth of his latest child made everything become real and made me realize that I would always have to share the man I love while accepting his other relationships. At first I was very supportive but I began to question that if I was taking him into consideration and he was taking his family into consideration, who was taking me into consideration? Akon recently did an interview with Blender magazine and discusses booty-calls, stealing cars, being unfaithful and his age.

How old are you?

[Smiles.] I don’t know how old I am.

Nonsense. Why are you so cagey about giving your age?

I don’t understand the importance. But I’ve been blessed to look young for a long time. My pops is 77 years old. You wouldn’t believe it; he looks like he’s in his mid-40s.

Akon recently discussed the concept his new reality TV show “My Brother’s Keeper”:

“Whenever I’m not in Atlanta, they go out posing as me and everyone believes it’s actually me. It’s so crazy, because everyone seriously believes it’s me. They are going around getting VIP treatment, girls, free food at restaurants, free everything and everybody is falling for it. It’s a real life thing, which has got really out of hand in Atlanta, so I decided to take the situation and make it into my advantage by making a reality TV show out of it. They get my life, all the perks without having to put in all the hard work I do. I’m constantly working so I can’t live it, but they are out there living it.”

Wow, a reality show with two little faux Akons running around the city of Atlanta, that should be top priority on the TiVo list. Boo (black shirt) and Omar (orange shirt) aka “Akon Jr.’s” must be proud of their accomplishments living the free life as posers.  They do look like him enough to pull a fast one on somebody.

“In my mind I was thinking now Paris Hilton is an official convict, I think I’m gonna get with her and put a record out. I would definitely sign her to my label ‘cos she’s a character. You give her the cutest record, something that’s just for women, an anthem; I think it will be outta here!”

Okay, we get the whole convict/Konvict Music thing, but is he serious??? Honestly, who is really checking for Paris Hilton now, she would be the absolute last person that I would want to hear sing a “woman’s anthem”.

The kid who Akon body-slammed into a concert crowd was identified by one-time yesterday and Akon is likely to face criminal and civil charges. The kid landed on a couple teens in the crowd and their parents just hired some lawyers to shake Akon down for some free money.

It’s funny how right before this all happened Akon was telling the crowd he didn’t know anything about American culture when he first arrived. Well Akon, when you look like Venom and have a lot of money, you don’t go around body-slamming “suburban kids” at concerts, especially after getting caught freaking a 14 year-old girl like it was your last day of freedom before doing a 20-year prison bid.

Akon is back in the news again after body-slamming a kid into the crowd at one of his concerts. Detective. Lt. John Berlingieri of the Fishkill Police said talks have been held within the department regarding the possibility of questioning Akon about the incident, which occurred during Fishkill-based WSPK (104.7 FM)’s annual KFEST concert at Dutchess Stadium:

“We’re trying to identify that kid, just to find out whether or not we have any kind of criminal offense,” Berlingieri said. “We are looking to speak to him. No victim. No crime.”

Some reckless teenager threw something at Akon during his concert and the singer was smart and bold enough to tell the audience to point him out and blow up his spot. Akon then took off hit shirt and told his security to bring him to the stage. Akon then body-slammed the teenager into the crowd.

I bet the kid didn’t know Akon is pushing 40 and completed a bid in prison, a real bid without a phony’ half-way thug rapper’ rap sheet either. Don’t let that shiny white teeth smile and Gwen Stefani songs fool you. By the look of things, he is ready to start singing “Locked UP” again.
