Britney Spears To Be Paid $15 Million To Judge New “X-Factor

According to TMZ reports:

Britney Spears and “X Factor” have struck a deal that will line the singer’s pocket to the tune of $15 million for next season … TMZ has learned.

We’re told Britney’s team and “X Factor” big wigs are working out “the fine points” of the deal, but the major terms are locked.

Once the final contract is drafted and signed … it will go to Jamie Spears, Britney’s daddy and conservator, as well as lawyers for the conservatorship. If they sign off, it must then go to the judge who oversees the conservatorship for approval.

Sources connected with the deal tell us … it’s a “virtual certainty” everyone will sign off. By the way, we’re told Jason Trawick is “very involved” in the negotiations.

Simon Cowell, the “X Factor” Executive Producer, told us on TMZ Live Tuesday, “I would love to have her on the show. I think she would be a fascinating person to sit next to.” Simon said they may make an announcement within a week.

Britney would fill one of two vacant seats on the judging panel. She’s also way more expensive than the castoffs — Nicole Scherzinger reportedly pulled in $1.5 million, while Paula Abdul raked in $2.5 mil.

Can’t say we’re surprised to hear Britney Spears won’t be getting any “Mother Of The Year” Awards from ex-husband K-Fed.

The wild antics of Sean Preston, 6, and Jayden James, 5, have outraged their dad Kevin Federline, say sources.

“Kevin puts the blame for their bad behavior squarely on Britney,” one insider told The ENQUIRER.

“She doesn’t believe in controlling the kids. Once, they got into her makeup and painted each other and the walls. Rather than discipline them, Britney just threw them out of her room and slammed the door.

“She thinks most of theirantics are just ‘boys being boys,’ and it drives Kevin up the wall. He’s convinced she’s too permissive and is ruining the kids.”

Kevin, 34, has full custody of the two little rascals, but Britney, 30, is allowed to have them three days a week and overnight every other weekend. And that’s when they seem to act up the most, according to the source.

Once, Jayden grabbed a pack of his mother’s cigarettes, and he and Sean pretended to puff away.

“Then Jayden figured out how to use the childproof lighter and actually fired up a smoke,” said the insider. “Meanwhile, Sean has been pretending to smoke since he was 2 and even tried to light a lollipop like a cigarette.

“And the kids mimic their dad’s drinking and staggering around. They’ll swig their milk or juice, slam the glasses down and ask for another ‘shot.’ Then they’ll act drunk, bumping into each other.

“They also cuss like sailors, which they must have picked up from their parents.”

Even more disturbing, the free-wheeling youngsters like to play with the candles Britney leaves burning around the house. They seem to be fascinated by fire.

“At a recent family get-together, Kevin wouldn’t let his kids light the barbecue pit, but later they were caught trying to start their own fire with one of Britney’s lighters in their room,” revealed the insider.

“Kevin’s fit to be tied. He says he’s had it with Britney’s ‘lazy mothering.’”

Sounds about right. Britney didn’t get too much mothering herself and she has lots of issues. It’s hard raising kids, but when your kids are born ballers it takes plenty of discipline to prevent them from turning into little monsters.

The Malibu estate that Britney Spears called home during her marriage to Kevin Federline has hit the market after a total make-over.

Writer/director Stephen Sommers and his wife, Jana, who purchased the property from Spears for $10 million in 2007, have listed their home for $13.5 million.

Situated in the gated community of Serra Retreat, the estate has 1.5 acres with a free-form swimming pool and outdoor kitchen.

The remodeled main house has a home theater, two family rooms, a kitchen designed for entertaining, plus six bedrooms and nine baths.

Clive Davis’ party still went on last night despite the shocking news of Whitney Houston’s death last night:

Whitney Houston “would have wanted the music to go on,” said industry mogul Clive Davis, who opted to proceed with his annual Grammy-eve party at the Beverly Hilton, where hours earlier the pop icon he signed and mentored was pronounced dead at 48.

“She loved music and she loved this night that celebrates music,” said Davis, adding that Houston’s family requested that the party continue.

The mood, however, at least at the evening’s start, was far from celebratory. Attendees filing into Davis’ event hugged one another, wearing dour or dazed expressions, and many were seen shaking their heads, even as music at the hotel thumped loudly. Davis, who spotted a 19-year-old Houston at a showcase in Sweetwaters supper club in Manhattan, has been hosting a pre-Grammy event for more than three decades. Houston was to attend the gala.

Britney Spears is happy and engaged, but her ex-husband, Jason Alexander exclusively tells Star magazine that he doesn’t see it working out.

Alexander — who married the Oops!…I Did It Again singer in January 2004 (the union was annulled after just 55 hours) — calls her relationship with fiancé Jason Trawick “a complete sham,” and claims Trawick, 40, “will end up hurting” Spears, 30.

He told Star exclusively, “If they actually get married, it will probably only last for a year two, but not much longer than that.”

Alexander told Star he feels the pop singer must have felt between a rock and a hard place when she accepted the talent agent’s marriage proposal on December 15. The engaged duo publicly celebrated their union, and Trawick’s 40th birthday, at Las Vegas’ Sugar Factory American Brasserie the next day, with the southern belle proudly sporting a three-carat Neil Lane engagement ring.

“I think Britney is really unhappy but doesn’t know how to get out,” Alexander told Star exclusively. “I don’t think she loves [Trawick].”

Alexander told Star that mutual friends tell him Spears feels like she’s being watched constantly, and has been averse to fight her father Jamie’s conservatorship to avoid custody issues with her sons from ex-hubby Kevin Federline.

Alexander told Star the mother-of-two likely feels she “has has no choice but to listen to what her dad and [Trawick] say.

“But I want her to know that she can get out of this thing if she really wants to.”

Britney Spears had a pretty sweet celebration Friday night to celebrate her engagement to fiancé Jason Trawick. After arriving in Las Vegas, the couple headed to Planet Hollywood where they checked into their 3,100-square-foot suite designed by former Top Design host Jonathon Adler. Spears, donning a short, nude Herve Leger dress, stepped out a few hours later and revealed her highly-anticipated Neil Lane sparkler during a congratulatory welcome on the hotel’s mezzanine. Planet Hollywood Chairman Robert Earl presented Trawick with an oversized birthday cake in a quick ceremony.

And what better place to end the night than Paris’s Chateau Nightclub. Surrounded by friends, Spears, 30, and Trawick, 40, hung out in their own private VIP table overlooking the club’s dance floor. “Britney seemed happy, holding Jason’s hand,” an onlooker said. They retreated to a private area after 1 a.m., but Spears was “dancing up a storm” until nearly 4.

With that theme in mind, Lane tells PEOPLE he designed from scratch a tiara-motif sparkler with a round, perfect white diamond in a handmade platinum setting that “looks like a mini crown,” the celebrated jeweler says. He also added 90 small round diamonds around the eternity band. “Jason didn’t want an over-the-top ring with a giant stone,” he adds. “He’s deeply in love with her. Britney is his princess and he is her knight in shining armor,” he says. “Jason’s protective of her. He adores her. Every good fairytale needs a princess, and now Britney has a ring fit for a princess!”
