Allegations Surface That Chris Brown Paid For His Grammy Award

Did Chris Brown buy his Grammy award? Sure looks like it after it was discovered the R&B singer has direct ties to Ken Ehrlich, the producer behind the Grammys. The producer defended Brown’s involvement in the ceremony on CBS This Morning after the whole incident was made public.

However, an insider says that there’s more to this story than a small endorsement on Ehrlich’s behalf. A source close to Brown has forwarded e-mails that were exchanged between Brown and Ehrlich to Neil Portnow, who is the President of The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences.

These e-mails in question that have been passing back and forth between the R&B star and the Grammy head were said to be riddled with bribery. The e-mails “practically begged” to secure the golden award for Brown in lieu of Brown giving, “a substantial amount of money.” The amount of money wasn’t disclosed by this insider who’s close to Chris Brown’s camp, but it was said that “Ehrlich was subsequently terminated, after many years of being involved with deliberating which of the past decades’ talents were worthy.”

The firing of Ehrlich is a little more than coincidental given the nature of his firing was said to be over “indiscretion and violation of the Academy’s ethics and integrity in rewarding talent.” Neil Portnow, the President of The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences released a statement following the firing stating, “With almost ten years of being President for The Academy, I would have never predicted that this would happen. My lack of blessing for Chris’ nomination was known, but as I’ve always respected by colleagues’ insights, I mustered all I could not to fight it so much. I have worked alongside Ken for years now, and I am heavily disappointed, and will have to raise the conduct around this board. will see to it that nothing of this caliber of humiliation will happen again.”

Chris Brown’s PR team is now adamantly denying this story ever happened, saying every detail related to the firing and the bribe is “bogus.”

Chrissy Teigen Receives Twitter Death Threats Over Her Chris Brown Criticism

According to TMZ reports:

Victoria’s Secret and S.I. swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen has been bombarded with violent, twisted threats from multiple Chris Brown fans … after Teigen criticized his performance at the Billboard Music Awards … TMZ has learned.

Teigen has been under fire ever since she tweeted about Brown’s performance Sunday night

Team Breezy went insane … hammering Chrissy with horrible messages that read:

– “all you do is talk s**t, you need to be raped and murdered.”
– “killyoself b***h ur nothing but tall thats why you model. your nothing.”
– “ditzy dumb a** tramp your mother should’ve aborted you.”
– “i hope you are the next ‘celebrity’ to die”
– “you have the brain capacity of a turtle, just die.”

Needless to say, Chrissy was disturbed and upset by the reaction to her pretty benign commentary.

Considering that the award show was Sunday, #TeamBreezy really kept the fire burning over the past couple days. So much that Grand Wizard Breezy had to come from behind the curtain himself to quell the fury.

And we thought he’d been doing so much better, SMH. Breezy is under attack for not one but two different incidents in Las Vegas.

The first was a near scuffle recounted in Page Six:

Chris Brown’s famous temper flared up again before the Billboard Music Awards when he angrily confronted a stranger over a group of girls in a top Vegas club.

According to witnesses, Brown spent more than two hours Saturday night at Haze at Aria charming a group of young women and buying multiple bottles of Champagne.

But one witness said, “Brown got visibly upset when the girls moved on to the next table. Brown approached the guys in the group [at the next table] and started getting visibly agitated. Brown stood up, and looked like he was about to start a fight when club security stopped him.”

While Brown’s rep insisted the account was “not true,” our witness continued: “He got in the guy’s face and was cursing at him, and saying, ‘Are these girls with you or with me?’ The guy was stunned by it. Things were close to getting extremely ugly. Then Chris’ security and club security escorted him out.”

A Haze rep confirmed there was an incident involving Brown but declined to go into detail. The club rep said, “Haze has a zero tolerance policy for violence.”
