Bossip has been out and about in the streets of L.A. covering parties and events for the Grammy’s and one of the interesting items circulating the rumor mill is the musical reunion of former flames-turned-foes-turned-flirt buddies Chris Brown and Rihanna. Music insiders say Rihanna and Chris have definitely been hanging out and rebuilding their chemistry in private away from the prying eyes of the paparazzi, and Rihanna has even asked the “Yeah 3x” singer to accompany her on the remix to her fan favorite song “Cake”!

If this is true this song will definitely be a landmark moment in the long and gradual resurrection of Breezy’s career.

How ironic is it that the same thing that made people hate him, might just be the thing that make ultimately make them love him again?

Despite a glowing report from his probation officer, Chris Brown’s request to end his supervised probation was denied by a judge at a hearing on Thursday. Via HelloBeautiful:

The singer’s attorney appeared in an L.A. court to ask Superior Court Judge George Lomeli to end Brown’s supervised probation early because of good behavior. (Brown was sentenced to five years supervised probation in February 2009 for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna).

At a progress hearing he received a good report from his probation officer who said he has been truthful with officers, passed all required drug tests and “has made great strides” while under probation supervision. He has completed half of the six months’ worth of roadside cleanup, graffiti removal and other manual labor that he was ordered to complete.

Another progress hearing is scheduled for July 10th.

In other words, Breezy got an “A” on his probation report card but he still can’t catch a break. Do you think Breezy should be able to get off probation soon?

Chris Brown is planning an over the top performance at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.

As previously reported, Brown is nominated for three Grammys — Best R & B Album, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song — and RadarOnline.com was first to report last year that he planned on performing at this year’s awards show.

“Chris has been rehearsing non-stop for the performance,” a source close to the singer tells RadarOnline.com. “He wants to give the audience and his fans an over top the performance. Chris has put a lot of pressure on himself to deliver a memorable performance, and he will deliver, he always does.”

It was only three years ago that Brown was arrested and charged with felony battery on his then girlfriend, Rihanna, on the night before the 2009 Grammy Awards — an incident the singer is keen to move on from.

“Chris is hopeful that his performance will close that chapter on his life. He will be bringing his mom to the awards ceremony, she is his biggest fan, and he has told her he is dedicating his performance to her,” the insider tells RadarOnline.com.

“Chris has grown tremendously as a person, and an artist from that time in his life. Chris has complied with all terms of his probation and has completed most of his court ordered community service.

“He has been a model probationer, but more importantly, Chris accepted responsibility for what he did. Chris took that experience and vowed to learn from it and become a better person, and he was thrilled and truly humbled that he was nominated for three Grammys.”

Things are going to be quite interesting at the Grammys this year:

Chris Brown will perform at this year’s Grammy Awards, the event where his career almost ended three years ago. Brown admitted to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna at a pre-Grammy party in 2009 and is serving five years of probation for the felony attack. A source told The Associated Press on Monday that Brown will hit the stage at Sunday’s show. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because Brown’s performance has not been officially announced.

After the attack, Brown’s reputation plummeted, but he has since bounced back, releasing multiple mixtapes and the multi-hit album, “F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies).” The CD is nominated for three Grammys, including best R&B album. Rihanna also will perform at the show. She’s nominated for four awards, including the top prize — album of the year — for her platinum effort “Loud.”

Brown and Rihanna were supposed to perform at the 2009 Grammys, but that changed after Brown attacked the pop singer in the early morning hours before the awards show. Since then, Brown has not attended the Grammys, although he was nominated for three awards last year.

Damn, after “the incident” we weren’t sure if Breezy would make it back to these awards. We just hope he has some act right about him this time around.
