Ciara To Focus On Women’s Empowerment On New Album

Singer/songwriter Ali Tamposi reinvigorated the career of Kelly Clarkson with “Stronger” and has been hard at work trying to save the career of one Miss Ciara Princess Harris. The young wordsmith has been writing songs for the struggling Atlanta pop star and she believes that she may have found a lane that will bring CiCi’s “Goodies” back.

According to her interview with BMI:

Honestly, I really can’t even believe that this is a real job. Today I’m going to the beach because my session doesn’t start ’til six. But there are weeks when it gets really intense. I usually try to take Sundays off but there are weeks when Sunday comes that I’m a wreck. And then there are things that are mellow and cool and easy. Like right now I’m working on a Ciara album, and she’s been great. It’s Livvi Franc and I who are doing most of the writing for it, and it’s been really cool and laid back so that’s been fun. There’s a lot of angst and edge in [Ciara’s] music and we’ve tried to be really conceptual and write things that haven’t been done before and real strong women empowerment songs. This what I’ve been really wanting to do: Focus on one project. So we’ve been doing that the last few weeks now.

New York Knick Amar’e Stoudemire may be nursing an injured back, but he has a doting nurse by his side. Sources tell us he’s back with Alexis Welch, the mother of his two children. Stoudemire dated singer Ciara last spring and they attended last year’s Costume Institute gala together. But the couple split shortly after. Stoudemire and Welch attended the ESPY Awards together last June, and sources tell us Welch has recently been at Knicks games with their kids.

She lives in Florida where she’s friendly with several of the Miami Heat wives, including Adrienne Bosh, married to Chris Bosh, and attended her baby shower at the Coral Gables Country Club Sunday afternoon. Stoudemire suffered a back injury during Saturday’s game that might keep him out for the rest of the regular season. Yesterday, doctors were evaluating his condition. His rep told us, “The Knicks sent him to Miami to get a second opinion on a bulging disk in his back,” adding, “We don’t comment on the personal lives of players.”

Hmmmm…we heard Amar’e was ring shopping for Alexis a while back so they must be serious about getting that old thang back and being a family. Good for them.

Ciara’s been known to swagger jack the looks of her more talented counterparts and with the tweeting of her newest (pushed over to the side) look, I’m convinced that she’s biting on Rihanna’s black and blonde style.

However, Rihanna is indeed a trendsetter and could just be setting the tone for summer hair with her blond ambition. Nah–Ciara’s biting. If only she spent as much energy as she spends on her hair on her career and she could actually rival Rihanna.
