We here at Bossip loooove 90′s Rap and feel the whole rap game has died down. We’ve compiled a list of reasons “Hip Hop Has Changed And Is Not As Potent As It Used To Be.”

#10:The internet. The internet is making bubble gum geeks into stars. I.E. Kreayshawn and others in her ilk. The internet lets anybody who wants to put out music… put it out at their own discretion which has lead to too much music being out there and folks having to have some kind of gimmick in order to make it. The gay rapper, the white girl rapper, the rapper that got his chain snatched on camera, that rapper that beat up somebody on camera, etc… etc. Also, people feel “why buy music?”

Good point David. “If you wanna be hood and talk about being in the hood…let me see you stand up in Oakland when the police kill a black man… that will prove you’re as hood as David Banner!” (No Sarcasm)

Yesterday we had David Banner on #SwayInTheMorning and had the opportunity to give him his first listen of V-Nasty’s “Diss” against him on her Gucci Mane collab BAYTL.
The rapper responds to her “How a white b*tch more hood then David Banner” comment and shares his opinion that “Black people need to stop letting people play our culture.” He also responds to Mistah F.A.B’s defense of V-Nasty using the N-word in pt.2!

His stage name is taken from the lead character of the 1970s and 1980s CBS television series The Incredible Hulk. He was raised in the Virden Addition or Queens Area neighborhood of Jackson, Mississippi.
