It’s not the only feature for the video vixen this month. In the new issue of Maxim the model and aspiring actress (she’s looking for comedy and horror roles!) who is currently a spokesmodel for Dark & Lovely hair products credits her model Mommy Nicole Murphy for giving her on-camera swag:

My mom taught me to pretend I am the most beautiful woman on earth and just completely evoke that when I’m on camera,” she says in the November issue of Maxim. “I pretend the camera is the hottest guy.”

Apparently, 38-year-old Tracee Ellis Ross has been getting her low-key cougar on with Akon‘s little brother Bu Thiam since the middle of the summer. The two have been spotted a couple of times at kinds of events where most of us would not expect to see Tracee.

And Miss Diana Ross isn’t with it at all!

Tracee, who starred in the hit series “Girlfriends,” is dating Def Jam Recordings executive Bu Thiam, 32. He’s the younger brother of R&B superstar Akon – a confessed polygamist with three wives.

“Diana is livid that Tracee is getting so serious with Bu,” a source close to the Motown legend told The ENQUIRER.

“Diana wants the best for all her children, and marrying into a family that practices polygamy was never in the cards for her kids.”

Music exec Bu’s roots are in Senegal, which reportedly has the highest polygamy rate in Africa.

His older brother Akon told a reporter: “I’m a polygamist. I will have as many wives as I can afford to have. All Africans believe in it. My dad has four wives.”

Never-married Tracee – whose father is Diana’s first husband, music busi­ness manager Robert Ellis Silberstein – has been seen hand-in-hand with Bu at vari­ous functions, and friends say the romance is heating up.

“Tracee has reassured her mom and the rest of the family that she and Bu aren’t mak­ing any wedding plans,” the source divulged.

According to the same article, Tracee does believe, however, that if she did decide to marry Bu, he would forsake all others. In other words, that man is chopping it down so good she’s become delusional.

At least now we can understand the attraction…

Looks like the folks at Essence had finally got their ish together by putting Tracee Ellis Ross on the cover… We’re so relieved to see her back again and excited to hear more about her new show on BET “Reed Between The Lines.”

We’re not really feeling how part of Tracee’s right eye is covered and her hair is all up under the left corner of the magazine title, but at least they found somebody besides The Obamas, Mo’Nique, Mary J. Blige and Steve Harvey to put on the cover.

Looking forward to reading Tracee’s interview, but some of the other ish in that issue looks extra suspect. Like say, for example that “Is Marriage Just For White People” business. SMH.

If, like us, you were skeptical about news reports claiming that legendary Motown singer Diana Ross would get Michael Jackson’s children when their 80-year-old grandmother Katherine Jackson passes away, doubt no more!

Ross, 67, indeed would become guardian of the dead singer’s three children, according to new information exclusively uncovered by RadarOnline.

A source close to the Jackson family tells us that the superstar diva was named in her longtime friend Michael Jackson’s will as guardian of Prince Michael, Paris and Blanket. And even though it was suggested that Ross declined the huge responsibility, that too is bunk, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.

“Diana has made no moves whatsoever not fulfill her role that Michael intended for her,” the source says. “Michael didn’t trust anyone in his family besides, his mother, to raise the children. Michael loved Diana and chose her for a very specific reason,” our source adds.

Katherine Jackson turns 81 on May 4, and it was revealed in court documents recently that she has a live-in caregiver.

Its good that Diana is going to abide by Michael’s wishes, but she isn’t exactly a spring chicken her damn self. How many of you would take custody of 3 children at her age??

According to Access Hollywood, Diana Ross is making her first television performance in four years on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

The former lead singer of the soul group, The Supremes will perform her hit, “I’m Coming Out.”

The 66-year-old legendary songstress will appear as a guest with all of her children and her grandson as guests on Oprah’s last season. Ross is currently on her “Now” tour, the episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show will air February 25th.

BOSSIP recently learned that Rihanna has been cast in her first starring role! The only catch… the folks behind the film aren’t all that confident in RihRih’s acting. Pop the hood for details:

Rihanna’s big role is for a film called About Face, which revolves around a fashion designer who has to change her ways to win over the man of her dreams, not unlike the Billy Dee Williams and Diana Ross classic Mahogany. Here’s the hitch:

“No one is sure she has any acting skills. She’s a bit stiff and has to learn how to emote more,” a source tells Star. “She’s been asked to quietly take acting classes. No one wants another Madonna on their hands — someone who can sing but can’t act!”

Hate to break it to the producers of this one, but Rihanna can’t do either. Neither can Madonna if you want to be all the way real about it. Then again, Rihanna actually might make a decent actress, goodness knows we’ve seen her play the role enough…

Evan Ross had a huge birthday bash at Guys and Dolls in LA and he made sure to incorporate Michael Jackson by having everyone wear white studded gloves in the party. His mom, Diana Ross showed up to give some birthday wishes.

Morgan Freeman has reportedly been involved in a serious car accident in Mississippi:

The Dark Knight star was said to be travelling with an unnamed female passenger just north of the small town of Ruleville at around 11.30pm local time on Sunday (03Aug08) when the crash occurred. No other vehicles were involved.

According to online reports, Freeman was airlifted to a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, where he is currently receiving treatment. The extent of his injuries are unknown, but state troopers tell website TMZ.com that the actor was talking at the scene of the accident before he was taken to hospital.The condition of Freeman’s passenger is also unknown.

Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the accident, although further details were unavailable.

Update:

Good news is Morgan is said to be in “good spirits” despite the fact that he’s suffering from several broken ribs and a bad knee injury.

Morgan reportedly lost control of his car, flipping it several times. “They had to use the Jaws of Life to extract him from the vehicle. He was lucid, conscious. He was talking, joking with some of the rescue workers at one point.”

Diana Ross’ daughter was also involved in an accident over the weekend:

The daughter of Motown legend Diana Ross has been hospitalised after being involved in a car crash.

Chudney Ross, the singer’s daughter with Robert Silberstein, was apparently pulling out of a parking lot in Malibu when her Land Rover collided with another vehicle.

According to TMZ Ross and a passenger were taken to a local hospital as a precautionary measure although no serious injuries were suffered.

Two other people in the other vehicle were also sought medical attention for neck and back injuries. Ross, 33, was later visited at the hospital by her sister Tracee ["Girlfriends' star].

We wish both Morgan and Chudney a speedy and full recovery.

The original Divas graced the stage of Radio City Music Hall for the Divas with Hearts Concert. We didn’t think there was a music hall big enough to stuff all those egos in there.
