DMX, the f*k up of the Century, entered a plea of guilty to charges of drug possession, theft and animal cruelty as part of a plea bargain:
The rap star and actor, real name Earl Simmons, pleaded guilty to one count of animal cruelty, one count of theft, and one count each of felony possession of marijuana and a narcotic drug. Simmons, 38, will be sentenced to a minimum of 90 days in jail when he returns to the Maricopa County superior court for a hearing on January 30th. Continue »

Grandmaster Basehead DMX is about to face the music in regards to animal cruelty charges:
Multi-platinum artist DMX was extradited to Phoenix on Friday (December 19) to face charges of animal cruelty. The Yonkers native was apprehended on December 9 in Miami at the home of producer Scott Storch. DMX, real name Earl Simmons, was wanted by Phoenix police for failing to appear in court on December 5 to answer charges of animal cruelty, drug possession, and ID theft. Continue »

Our troubled uncle, DMX, has been apprehended in Florida:
A day after a $5,000 reward was offered by the Maricopa County Sheriff’s office for his capture, fugitive rapper DMX (born Earl Simmons) was arrested in Florida on Tuesday (December 9) on a warrant issued by a Phoenix judge after he failed to appear in court last Friday.
Attorney Bradford Cohen told MTV News that the rapper was picked up by FBI agents on Tuesday after patient-confidentiality laws prevented Miami police from confirming whether X was at a local rehab facility. “A call went out earlier this morning in regards to his location, and the regular police went out to that location, which was a recovery clinic, but because of health care laws, the clinic wouldn’t confirm whether he was there,” Cohen said. “So the cops left, and apparently the sheriff down here didn’t like that too much, so he called in the feds.” Continue »

We thought Earl was faking, but now it is almost confirmed….
A lawyer representing DMX confirms that the rapper missed a court date in Arizona because he was admitted to a hospital in Florida, but the attorney would not confirm media reports that the reason was for “fear of stroke.” “It was serious enough for him to be brought and taken into a treatment facility,” his lawyer Bradford Cohen told Billboard. “He spent the night there last night, and he will probably spend tonight there as well. I don’t think it’s going to be an ongoing thing or a life-threatening situation. He’s going to be alright.”
We told you X was trying to get out of that court date. We are genuinely rooting for Earl, but he just needs to buckle down, gather his loot and stay off the damn rocks.

Rapper DMX has been admitted to a Florida hospital for “fear of a stroke”, according to internet reports. The hip-hop star – real name Earl Simmons – was allegedly taken to the emergency room at a hospital in Aventura, Florida on Monday (22Sep08). He will reportedly remain in doctors’ care through his scheduled court appearance on Tuesday (23Sep08) in Arizona – where he was set to appear on charges of theft. According to celebrity website TMZ.com, his attorney has drafted a letter to the judge on the case, detailing the rapper’s condition. DMX also faces several animal cruelty and drug possession counts in the state.
This looks suspect, X is pulling the “stroke card”, so he can smoke some more yay. Just head to Arizona and take care of your demons Earl. If he really did have a stroke, it was brought on by excessive hits of Rocks. That fool is out in Florida getting blasted….”Dear God we wonder can you save him”.
