#10:The internet. The internet is making bubble gum geeks into stars. I.E. Kreayshawn and others in her ilk. The internet lets anybody who wants to put out music… put it out at their own discretion which has lead to too much music being out there and folks having to have some kind of gimmick in order to make it. The gay rapper, the white girl rapper, the rapper that got his chain snatched on camera, that rapper that beat up somebody on camera, etc… etc. Also, people feel “why buy music?”

Hmmmmm…

According to TMZ reports:

Don’t worry about Dr. Dre’s kids … or Ice Cube’s … or Eazy E’s … ’cause they might have a future in film — playing their fathers in an upcoming N.W.A. flick.

The rap icon and his wife were outside Red O restaurant in L.A. this weekend when we asked about the rumor that they were all planning to put their kids in the movie.

Dre responded, “We’re talking about it … we’ll see what happens.”

FYI — Cube has been talking about making the movie for years … and now that he’s putting another “Friday” movie on the fast track … it seems it could be a while before the N.W.A. offspring get their shot at the silver screen.

Sorry Dre, but this thing can only go one of two ways…bad or worse!

As bad was we want to see this movie, it will only be credible if there are REAL actors playing the lead roles. We’re sure the kids could play the weed carriers or something…

MAN! We would be SO excited about this news if it was like… 2005. You know, ten years after the original, as opposed to ten years after “Friday After Next.”

But, nevertheless, Ice Cube and the team behind “Friday” are working on a fourth film just like Debo said last month, TMZ reports.

Ice Cube has finally confirmed he’s resurrecting the ‘Friday’ franchise … telling TMZ the goal is to bring back the entire ORIGINAL cast … including Chris Tucker.

A rep for Cube Vision Productions tells us … “Absolutely yes the studio is in the process of getting the entire original cast to do another ‘Friday.’”

The statement continues, “[Ice Cube] is very excited about this and has every intention to make it happen.”

Just last month, TMZ spoke with the musclebound behemoth who played DeBo … who told us both he and Chris Tucker are down to reunite for the 4th installment of the ‘Friday’ franchise … but they still have to work out their contracts.

Listen, we’re glad they’re trying to bring everyone back and all. But, we can’t help but feel a little concerned about the plot. Because, recession or not: we DO NOT want to see Craig and Smokey going through the same struggles in their 30s MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!

For years, rappers have been part of the mainstream society, with dolls, endorsements and movie roles being a part of their multi-faceted stardom. When it comes to acting, rappers are flooding Hollywood with their attempts at a post-rap career.

Some are great at it…others not so much.

Black dads get a bad rap, off and onscreen. Sometimes it’s deservedly so, other times they don’t get the credit they deserve. None of them were perfect, but most of the ones we picked were chosen because they did what dads are sposed to do — they were there for their kids, they were protective of their kids and they wanted the best for their kids.

And Bow Wow hasn’t seen a rap check in a minute. So he’s turning to Ice Cube for some post-rap-check assistance.

The rapper, who also starred in two Ice Cube produced flicks (“All About the Benjamins” and “Lottery Ticket”) is re-teaming with the hit director on an upcoming, untitled sitcom.

Bow Wow told AllHipHop.com that longtime mentor/Atlanta mogul Jermaine Dupri will create the score for the series.

“I just spoke with JD yesterday and I got him doing the score and he is actually about to do the music for the TV show sitcom that I am doing with Ice Cube,” Bow Wow told AllHipHop.com.

“I partnered with Ice Cube and he is producing my sitcom,” the rapper continued. “I told JD when Will [Smith] had his own show ["The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"], Quincy Jones did all the music so it’s only right that he does mine. So I got him doing all the scores to the TV show. I speak to JD daily.

The untitled sitcom is still in the early stages, so while details were scant, Bow Wow said the deal had just been signed and writers were currently being sought for the television show.

Hmmm…. No mention of Young Money/Cash Money at all on that one? Interesting.

LL Cool J, Ice Cube and Willow Smith were among the Hip-Hop stars who walked away with NAACP Image Awards last night.

Ice Cube was awarded “Best Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series” for his TV sitcom – “Are We There Yet?” while LL won “Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series” for his role in “NCIS: Los Angeles.”
