Chris Brown discusses an upcoming project:

“It’s a movie called ‘The Heist’ that I’m doing with T.I., Idris Elba and Matt Dillon. I’m playing a killer. I’m not going to give anything else away! It’s a bank-robbing movie, so it’s one of those action-packed films. You get a little different side of me in that movie.”

“At the end of the day, I’m going to focus on my music first. [But] me being onstage enhances me being in the movie, and then me being in the movie — acting, catching characters — gives me time to transform into a different character onstage.”

Just what the world needs, another singer slash actor slash…the movie sounds hot though, especially the Idris Elba part.

Here is are some promo shots of the new film “The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency” starring a naked-faced Idris Elba and Jill Scott. Jill is already good press from the film:

Oscar-winning director Anthony Minghella, who tragically died yesterday of a hemorrhage following neck surgery. “She is extremely stellar. I think she can be a real star,” raved Minghella, who recently directed Scott as Botswana gumshoe Precious Ramotswe in the upcoming flick.

Beyonce will star in an upcoming film called “Obsessed” playing the wife of Idris Elba.  She and her father Matthew Knowles are the executive producers. Damn, we were interested in seeing some love scenes with her and Idris, but with daddy on the staff, they probably won’t be too steamy. That and we know Hovvy Hov ain’t having that ish.

Idris Elba and Cuba Gooding Jr. are cast to star in the biopic film The Vapors based on 80′s hip-hop pioneers the Juice Crew that included Big Daddy Kane, Biz Markie, and Roxanne Shante. Idris will be playing rapper Fly Ty and Cuba will star as the Juice Crew founder Marley Marl.

We know you ladies can’t wait to see Idris on the screen again, but we are a little skeptical about Cuba’s corny ass playing Marley Marl. If you need a brief reminder of Cuba and his gaylordisms see below.
