The stars came out in full force to attend Nelson Mandela’s birthday dinner in Hyde Park, London, today. Denzel Washington was joined by Oprah, Will & Jada, and many more to help usher in Mandela’s 90th birthday.

On a sour note, according to the NY Daily News, Naomi Campbell, who has claimed Mandela is her “honanrary grandfather”, won’t be appearing onstage during an AIDS fundraising event that will go down on Friday. Here’s why:

“The concert, to celebrate Mandela’s upcoming 90th birthday, will raise funds for the 46664 AIDS charity organized by the revered figure. The five-digit number was Mandela’s inmate ID during his 27 years in prison under apartheid. Mandela was upset because Campbell was arrested for assaulting two police officers while wearing a baseball cap with the 46664 logo. Mandela felt the arrest was at odds with his charity’s goals,”

The Brit pop star beauty was duped out of buying a house in her native town of London recently:

“She recently made an offer of around $1m on a house in Hackney with her boyfriend, but when the vendor found out who she was they upped the price by $200,000, forcing the couple to pull out. A source said: ‘It was quite upsetting. They had their heart set on a property and offered the asking price. But the seller thought she was a pop star and could afford more, so he upped the price. It’s cruel.’

Leona’s dad has previously revealed that despite the success of her album, Spirit, which was the fastest-selling UK debut of all time, the pop princess is no millionaire. He said: ‘It’s a myth Leona is a millionaire. She earns enough to live on, but that’s it.’

Leona’s stacks are on modest for now, unlike Mary J. SMH at the shady owner for pricing a girl out of her own neighborhood.

Kanye West and Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton attended the GQ Men of the Year 10th Anniversary last night in London. Ye walked away with the International Man of the Year Award while Hamilton won Sportsman of the Year. There is a thin line between being stylish and just looking flat out stupid…Kanye crosses that line rockin a gray fit with turquoise accessories—-sunglasses, handkerchief, and belt. I guess GQ’s idea of an “International Man” is color-coordinated player with a passport and a license to shop.

Meanwhile the 200 million dollar playboy, Lewis Hamilton was getting cozy with Naomi Campbell. And to think Naomi had us fooled when she said she was only into dudes who were broke and creative.
