The guy who starred as troubled youth Thomas Sams in the 1989 classic “Lean On Me” was arrested in Arizona for allegedly buying 200 pounds of pot from an undercover cop this week.

Jermaine “Huggy” Hopkins has been charged with two felony counts of possessing, transporting and trying to sell marijuana.

According to police, the 38-year-old actor lives in North Carolina … but traveled to AZ to make the drug deal on Tuesday.

Cops in Maricopa County say they set up the sting operation … and after Hopkins took possession of the dope, they pulled over his SUV and arrested him. Cops say they found $100k in cash in the ride.

Officials later searched Hopkins’ Arizona apartment and claim they found an additional 100 pounds of weed.

Police say Hopkins told them he got involved in the drug deal to provide a nice Christmas for his family.

Hopkins is being held on $35,000 bond. If convicted, he faces up to 5 years in prison.

Let’s look at the great Hip-Hop crews in history and dream about them and their ability to crush their “freestyles” like Shady 2.0 and MMG did.

Another person claims that Diddy and Suge were behind the Pac/Biggie murderes. This time, it comes from a former LAPD officer.

Here’s the excerpt from the new book, Murder Rap, by Greg Kading:

Keffe D [a member of the Southside Crips] tells the cops he was offered $1 million to kill Death Row rapper Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight, the label’s former CEO. The informant tells his interrogators in plain language, albeit at a cool street clip, that Sean Combs – then known as Puff Daddy, the ringmaster of Bad Boy Entertainment, Death Row Records’ bitter cross-country rival – commissioned Shakur’s legendary murder in Vegas in September 1996.

There’s also a quote from one of Suge Knight’s baby mommas that alleges that she was in charge of taking money to a gang member to pay him to murder Biggie.

However, Keffe D is trying to avoid a long drug sentence, so take his word with a grain of salt.

Today, September 13, 2011 marks the 15th anniversary of the death of Tupac Amaru Shakur, R.I.P.

Hands down, Tupac has the most loyal following of fans of any rapper that has ever picked up the mic and spit it. That fact is a testament to how much he affected people with his spirit, message, and charisma. We reported earlier that the Outlawz apparently honored Pac’s death by smoking his ashes, but the Shakur family is saying “push pause on that story”.

Here’s the report from TMZ:

No one in the Shakur family EVER signed off on the Pac puff ‘n pass … especially his mother, Afeni.

The family rep tells us … the Shakurs simply don’t know if there’s any truth to the claims made by the Outlawz — but if they DID smoke Tupac, they “would have had to sneak the remains past the family member in charge of keeping an eye on the ashes at the memorial.”

The rep tells us … no one in the family would ever approve of the act — but they currently don’t plan on pursuing any action against The Outlawz.

How is it a tribute to your homie if you go ahead and steal the fawking ashes from the family? That’s messed up.
