The last artist standing, the beautiful and talented Alicia Keys recently worked with John Mayer on her new album. He co-signs our sentiments about AK on his blog:

This is probably about as obvious as telling you the sky is blue, but Alicia is the most authentic artist of our generation… She’s strong where she needs to be…Not just strong as a woman (there are many strong women out there) but strong as an artist (there are few, regardless of gender). She has the vision DOWN and doesn’t waste time getting there

Too bad we have to wait until October for her album to drop.

The musicians were listed in the 600-page report as those expected to attend a rally held by Russell Simmons’ Hip-Hop Summit Action Network. The paperwork was released after a federal judge ruled in favor of a motion to declassify the documents, filed by the New York Civil Liberties Union and The New York Times. …

Alicia Keys has “it all” and is beautiful inside and out. Now if only the “weaved one” could learn something from AK and get some character.
