After saying he was quitting rap to become a thespian back in May, Lil Bow Wow says he’s just going to take a hiatus:

“I will do an eighth album and then probably after that just probably quit and just focus on movies and acting. I figure, like, I’ve been doing this since I was five years old. It’s kinda hard to juggle this (music career) and acting; my agents are calling me all the time and I feel like I haven’t really given them enough time to do their thing, so I got to go over there and do some Hollywood things.” He adds, “I’ll at least take two years off, do my thing and come back.”

No one is really even checking for his ass anyway, but for those of you who are here is his spread in the “prestigious” King magazine.

PageSix reports:

Bow Wow, formerly known as Lil’ Bow Wow, has a new girlfriend. He showed up to the 25th birthday party for Reverend Run’s daughter, Vanessa, Saturday night at Mansion in Miami and they were “all over each other,” a spy said. “We all did a double take because she was dating pro skater Terry Kennedy.” But insiders knew that relationship was over when Kennedy took all of Vanessa’s pictures off his MySpace page earlier last week. Not that Vanessa cared. “She only had eyes for Bow Wow all night,” our source said.

Last time we checked that was Angela, not Vanessa Simmons. Either way, Bow Wow and Angela were linked to each other over a year ago. How precious.

A grip of celebs ran for cover after someone got dumped on at club Dreamz in ATL last night:

ATLANTA — What started out as a fun Friday night quickly turned into a frightening experience for patrons of an Atlanta nightclub early Saturday morning.

DeKalb County police said gunfire erupted at a celeb-filled party held at Club Dreams at 3595 Clairmont Road around 3 a.m. The party, which kicked off the third annual So So Def Summerfest weekend, was hosted by Atlanta-based music mogul Jermaine Dupri.

Invited guests for the star-studded weekend include R&B singer Usher, actress Sanaa Lathan, actress Regina King, actress Nia Long, actor Larenz Tate & actress Gabrielle Union, and many more celebrities according to the event’s website. Authorities told WSB-TV one person was struck by a bullet. Authorities said the injury is not life-threatening.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released.

“The shooting was an isolated incident,” said a representative for So So Def Summerfest Weekend

Bow Wow attempts to clear the air about the rumors that he dissed Omarion on “Lookin’ Boy”:

Bow Wow wants to know how a joke he made on his single turned into an Internet-wide rumor that he has a beef with his good friend Omarion. Well, he did make light of O’s penchant for wearing form-fitting trousers.

“It just shows you how uptight people are about certain things. The song is a joke record,” Bow [said] of the verse on the remix of Hot Stylz’s punch-line-driven “Lookin’ Boy.”

“Damn, them is tight, you’s a O, Omarion-lookin’ boy,” he says in the song. To make matters worst, at the end of the record, B-Dub adds, “I didn’t know me and you was gonna be going at it. I was just having fun.”

Bow Wow justifies thangs:

“O is my homeboy, and I even joke with O about how tight he wears his jeans,” Bow added. “He knows how tight his jeans are. That’s my homeboy. Everybody knows how tight Omarion wears his pants. It’s not a secret. So why is everybody jumping on me? It’s a fact. Plus, it’s a joke. So why wouldn’t I joke on my homeboy?”

There’s not love lost between these two buddies. Plus Bow Wow admits that his remarks at the end of the song were directed at another dude:

Bow said his remarks at the very end of the song weren’t aimed at O at all, but another one of his inner circle who rapped on the record. He said the friend — whose vocals were taken off the record — got on the song and joked on him real hard.

Whatever you say lil guy.

Lil Bow Wow says bye bye to Hip-Hop and hello to acting:

“‘After 16 years in the music industry and six successful albums, I’ve decided to shift my energy to something else I’m passionate about, acting,’ he said. ‘I’m going to try to be the next Will Smith.’”

Uhh yeah..Get in line. After his riveting performance in Roll Bounce, he ought to be a shoe-in.

Here’s Bow Wow on the set of Entourage, looking all cute with his half-pint self. A highly placed source told Bossip that although the brotha has reached the legal drinking age, he still acts like a goofy 13 year old. Also, he spits out the weakest of weak game to try to snag the ladies – on some truly comical “I’ll take you places girl” type ish. A word of advice: Women like stacks, but they like personality too. You have to go that extra mile – especially given that your all of 5 feet tall ‘n’ sh*t.

No Cents is dabbling in yet another beef between two rappers:

This half a feud between Bow Wow and Yung Berg didn’t seem to have much legs until 50 Cent got involved. Things may just get interesting. During a recent chat with XXLMag.com, Berg revealed that 50 suggested that he demolish Bow Wow. To let Berg tell it, Fif offered to appear on the remix to “Do That There,” a song on which YB already dissed Bow, and advised the Chicago rapper to follow-up with a full-fledged diss record. I must say, after chopping it up with Berg, I started liking the kid. Dude is pretty funny, but it has nothing to do with his mic skills. With that said, I’m not too sure YB is lyrically superior to Bow Wow or vice versa. Sure, the 50 Cent co-sign could, and I stress “could” give Berg some cred, but it isn’t likely to do much for his rhymes. Meanwhile, I’m clueless as to why Fif would want to see Bow Wow demolished. He’s played puppet master with Fat Joe and Papoose recently, but that move was understandable considering that he’s been feuding with Joey Crack for a few moons now. I can only think of two reasons for Fif’s latest pet project.

We have come to the conclusion that this dude just enjoys seeing people fight and argue. This sh*t is childish beyond belief.

We posted back in July that Bow Wow was dating Melody Thornton from the Pussycat Dolls. Now a highly placed source has exclusively told Bossip that Bow Wow flew Melody in from Kuwait (Where she and the Pussycat Dolls where performing), so she could be there she could be there for his 21st birthday. The source states that things are getting pretty serious between the two.

Ahh, young love…
