This tragic chapter in their lives is nearly closed. Jennifer Hudson and her family will hold a public memorial service:

A public memorial service for Jennifer Hudson’s slain mother, brother and nephew is planned for Sunday at the South Side Chicago church where the Oscar-winner grew up singing. “The Hudson family welcomes anyone who wishes to attend and pay their respects to these three beloved members of the Chicago community,” reads a statement from Hudson’s rep. Neither the singer-actress nor her sister, Julia, the mother of slain 7-year-old Julian King, are expected to attend the public observance. The service will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist Church, located at 4526 S. Greenwood in Chicago. The memorial will be preceded by a private service.

This deranged looking felon doesn’t have many friends, but cops are still trying to figure out if it was indeed him and whether or not someone assisted him in these heinous killings:

Although Chicago police have only one known suspect in the slayings of three relatives of actress Jennifer Hudson, some evidence suggests that more than one person may have been involved, law-enforcement sources said today. Investigators have focused on suspect William Balfour’s movements on Friday, the day of the murders, as well as his conflicts with his estranged wife, Julia Hudson, and other members of the family. They are trying to determine whether another person drove Balfour to the West Side after the killings at the Hudsons’ South Side home, sources said. Witnesses said Balfour drove his teal Chrysler to the Hudsons’ block Friday, arriving about 7 a.m. But later the vehicle was discovered by police parked about a mile away outside Robeson High School. Balfour’s girlfriend told police that he was at her West Side home not long after the slayings of Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donerson, and the Oscar-winning actress’ brother, Jason, at their Englewood home, sources said. Security video at the South Side high school showed someone parking the Chrysler on Friday, but investigators have not been able to determine the person’s identity from the images, the sources said. A time stamp on the video showed the car was left there at 12:30 p.m. Friday, but it was unclear whether the stamp was accurate, sources said. Meanwhile, cell phone records placed Balfour on the West Side at that hour, sources said. If the time stamp is accurate, it would suggest another person may have driven the Chrysler from the Hudson home to Robeson, sources said. In any event, Balfour did not use his own car to travel from the Hudson’s Englewood house to his girlfriend’s home near 19th Street and Spaulding Avenue on the West Side, police said.

Convincing someone to help murder a child is unreal. Who ever did this should be boiled alive.

Some new details have emerged in the Hudson murder case:

Records also show that Balfour missed a meeting with his parole agent on Friday, the day Hudson’s mother and brother were murdered and her 7-year-old nephew went missing. Reached by phone that afternoon, he told the agent he was “baby-sitting on the West Side of Chicago,” according to the documents, obtained by The Associated Press.

The agent said he thought he heard a child in the background during the call.

Hudson’s nephew, Julian King, was found shot to death in the back of an SUV on Chicago’s West Side on Monday. Julian and his mother, Julia Hudson, shared a home with Hudson’s mother, 57-year-old Darnell Donerson, and brother, 29-year-old Jason Hudson, who also died of gunshot wounds.

He seems more and more suspect as more details come out. Isn’t it time to for us to go to war on the glorification of “Thug Life” in our culture?

More details of this heinous tragedy come to the surface:

William Balfour — the “person of interest” in the murders of Jennifer Hudson’s mother, brother and nephew — isn’t the first Balfour to run afoul of the law. Balfour’s father is currently serving a 30-year prison sentence for murder. His brother served time for drug dealing. Balfour himself has served time for attempted murder and carjacking. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Balfour was a member of the Gangster Disciple Street Gang. Also according to court docs, Balfour told the judge back in 1999 he had a good relationship with his mother until “she gets an attitude.”

People aren’t randomly murdered execution style. Since William was involved with some unscrupulous low lives, he probably owed them money or drugs and when he didn’t pay up, they went after his son who happened to be with his grandmother and uncle. When the truth of the matter finally comes out, the story will likely be something to that effect.

It’s been reported that Jennifer Hudson confirms that the body is that of nephew, Julian King:

Jennifer Hudson endured more heartbreak Monday when she identified the body of her 7-year-old nephew – found shot to death in an SUV – at the Chicago city morgue. The Oscar-winning actress and singer, who grew up in the Windy City, journeyed to the coroner’s office, where the body of little Julian King lay on a gurney covered with a white sheet. “Yes, that is him,” Hudson said quietly when she saw the boy’s face on a video screen, said Sean Howard, a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner’s office. For Hudson, whose mother and brother were found slain Friday, it brought the devastating death toll in her family to three. Still, she did not buckle under the grief: “She was just brilliant and strong,” Howard said. “Her last words to me were, ‘Just tell the general public once again to respect my family’s privacy.’”Hudson said her faith in Jesus Christ “was going to get her through that,” Howard said. “Those were her words.”As she left the facility, Hudson’s bodyguards held umbrellas to hide her anguish. Nobody has been charged with the murders, but cops are holding William (Flex) Balfour, 27, the estranged husband of Hudson’s sister Julia, at a state prison for a parole violation. “We’re following any lead we can get right now,” said city Police Superintendent Jody Weis. Fingers are not only being pointed at Julia Hudson’s husband William Balfour. Julia herself is being partially blamed for bringing her thug love around the Hudson family. We found it odd that Julia Hudson has only mentioned little Julian after the murders.

SMH. He sure looks like a killer to us, I don’t know what his mother is talking about. He was recently kicked out of the Hudson home by Jhud’s mother.

J-Hud has a reward for the any information about the death of her family members as well as the kidnapping of her nephew:

A spokeswoman for Hudson confirmed the reward, the latest development in the investigation of the shooting deaths of Hudson’s relatives and abduction of her nephew, Julian King. “Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely,” Hudson said in a posting on her MySpace page Sunday. “If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately.” Hudson also posted two pictures of her nephew wearing the brown-and-orange striped polo shirt he was last seen in. Earlier, Hudson viewed the bodies of her mother, Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, the Cook County medical examiner’s office told CNN Sunday. They were found shot to death Friday in their South Side Chicago home. Meanwhile, Chicago police are handing out fliers as part of a massive search for Hudson’s nephew. Police issued an Amber Alert for Julian and asked people to look out for a 1994 white Chevrolet Suburban with Illinois license plate X584859. Julian is described as being 4-feet-11 and 130 pounds. He was wearing a striped brown polo shirt and khaki pants when last seen, authorities said in the Amber Alert. News reports, however, say that person is Hudson’s brother-in-law, William Balfour in custody. Balfour’s mother has also acknowledged her son has been questioned about the shootings. Chicago news station WLS reported Saturday that Julian was not with Balfour when he was detained. Police say they have transferred the person in custody to the Illinois Department of Corrections for a parole violation.

Barrack Obama issued a statement regarding these horrific crimes that have happened to the Hudson family:

“Michelle and I were absolutely heartbroken to learn about this unimaginable tragedy and we want Jennifer to know that she is in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time,” the Illinois senator said. “We also pray for the swift and safe return of her young nephew.”

At a press conference, Julia Hudson, pictured behind the podium, pleads for the safe return of her son, Julian King, who has been missing since this weekend’s tragic events occurred. Pictured beside Julia is the boy’s biological father, Greg King.

Chicago authorities are intensifying efforts to find the 7-year-old nephew of Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson while investigating the shooting deaths of Hudson’s brother and mother. An Amber Alert is still in effect for Julian King, who went missing from his South Side neighborhood home on Friday. That was the same day that the bodies of his grandmother — 57-year-old Darnell Donerson — and 29-year-old uncle Jason Hudson were found in the home they shared. Their deaths have been ruled homicides. Chicago police spokesman Dan O’Brien says the search for King is citywide. But on Sunday residents and officers are focusing their search efforts “in the immediate vicinity” of Hudson’s home. Searchers plan to comb streets on foot and hand out fliers.

A suspect is in custody for the murders of Jennifer’s mother and brother:

Police sources have confirmed that William Balfour, the suspect in the shooting deaths of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother, has been taken into police custody. However, Julian King, Hudson’s 7-year-old nephew who was taken from the murder scene, is still missing. Sources say Balfour has refused to provide information on King’s location. No charges have been filed.

According to the Illinois Department of Corrections, Balfour, 27, is on parole. He spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle.

For the sake of the child, let’s hope the Chicago Police Dept. do their job and get this Balfour character talking. Let us pray the child is somewhere safe and unharmed so the grieving process can begin. SMH

Jennifer Hudson’s mother was shot and killed today. Two bodies were found this afternoon in her Chicago home:

The mother of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson was reportedly found dead in a South Side home. Two adults were found fatally shot at a home at 70th Street and Yale Avenue at 3 p.m. Friday, authorities said. A representative of the family’s church, Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist, confirms that 57-year-old Darnell Hudson was one of the victims. The other victim was a man, the Chicago Fire Department said.  The shooting is believed to be domestic.  The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office has been notified of the deaths of two people from a home at the address, but additional information is unavailable.

R.I.P. Our condolences go out to Jhud and her family. It is rumored the other victim was her brother Jason. The police are reportedly looking for her seven year-old nephew pictured below. As more information comes in, we will keep you updated.

Don’t expect Tiffany “New York” Pollard to be invited to her former fling David Otunga’s wedding to Jennifer Hudson. The New York Goes To Hollywood star says she’s skeptical about the Dreamgirls actress’ engagement to Harvard Law School grad David, who competed for Tiffany’s affections on I Love New York 2 under the name Punk. “He’s really loving being Mr. Jennifer Hudson. I think he’s loving the lavish things she brings to his life, he’s seeing the world due to Jennifer’s success,” Tiffany tells In Touch. “[But] can you love this person if they lose all of this tomorrow? She needs to find out. I just hope people are marrying each other for the right reasons.” New York’s not optimistic about the couple’s future. “It’s a mixed match, it won’t work,” she says. “He’ll be in her shadow like Al Reynolds was to Star Jones, like Stedman Graham is to Oprah.” There’s also a good reason David wasn’t the right match for Tiffany on I Love New York 2. “When we were in Miami together, he didn’t even try anything [on me]!” she says. “Maybe I wasn’t his type, maybe I wasn’t big enough for him.” “His heart is way big,” Tiffany says of David, who proposed to Jennifer after dating less than a year. “Two weeks ago, I ran into [Jennifer and David] and I didn’t say much,” reveals Tiffany. “I said ‘Goodbye, Punk!’ and she looked at me like ‘What!’ I know his name’s David, but I call him Punk.”

It’s incredibly unsettling, but we might have to agree with New York on this one. Punk stays whoring it up for publicity. He’s proven that he’ll do anything to be seen by pushing all up on New York’s greasy basketball tittays. On that note, we hope JHud had his ass tested.
