Why Nelly? Why have you forsaken them???

According to TMZ reports:

Rapper Nelly cancelled a scheduled meet and greet with the troops at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska yesterday after he claimed to be sick.

Nelly performed at Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage on Friday night. But he complained on twitter the next day he had 102 fever and was throwing up … and eventually said he had to bail on meeting the troops on Saturday.

Nelly’s Facebook page was flooded by fans who were disappointed he didn’t show up. One even posted a pic (see below) of troops sitting and waiting for him to show … with the caption, “A few of the hundred, or so, military and their spouses (some who have their significant other deployed) on Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson in Alaska, that you stood up. Not cool!!!”

Ok, well that explains it. We don’t think Nelly would play hooky on the troops so we’ll give him a pass this time. A 102 fever is nothin’ to play around with…

Last night at Patchwerk Studios in Atlanta, Young Jeezy and the Def Jam staff held an exclusive listening party for The Snowman’s new album TM:103 which is scheduled to drop on December 20th. Although the session was mainly for media-types, many of Jeezy’s famous friends made appearances to show support to their A-Town compadre. Ludacris, Akon and his brother Bu, Keri Hilson, Common, Nelly, and a host of DJs and producers were in the building to get some “motivation”.

We must say, despite the naysayers and the release date push-backs, Jeezy did not disappoint. There are several outstanding tracks that are sure to keep you grinding throughout the winter.
