We are hearing rumors that the union of Usher and that Tameka Foster is over (again) and Tameka is expecting:

R&B singer Usher reportedly has separated from his much older wife, Tameka Foster, who reportedly is expecting their second child in December.

Not another baby, damn. Birth Control must be real played out these days. Don’t feel sorry for that Tameka though, she has some healthy stacks coming.

Usher has decided to put his mommy back on to her manager game:

“Usher has dissolved his management arrangement with Benny Medina and has re-engaged Jonnetta Patton as his manager,” his rep said in a statement Wednesday.

It’s wonderful that Usher’s rekindling the flame with his mother, but we wonder what that Tameka character has to say about all this..

Usher and son Usher the Fifth are the headliners in the newest issue of Essence. He opens up about why it’s extra important for him to be a good father:

HARPER: Your father wasn’t around to raise you. How do you plan to be different for your son than your father was for you?

USHER: Just simply being there. I don’t judge my father because I forgave him for anything he’d ever done to hurt me unintentionally. My father and I had a very short amount of time together throughout my entire life, but the most valuable time was during his final days. He asked me to forgive him for not being there. He asked me to give him a chance, give him a shot because he loved me, and he had always loved me. But it was very difficult for him to be in the situation he was in and be the example he wanted me to follow. So he intentionally stayed away. And he was kept away from me too. He didn’t like it, but he didn’t fight it because he knew he wasn’t living right.

HARPER: What would you say to young men and women about what they should expect from a man who’s a father? What is living right as a father? How do you define that? How would that man look? Continue »

Usher and son Usher V are on the cover of the Essence Magazine, August 2008 issue. Here’s what the proud papa has to say about fatherhood:

“He’s gonna admire me, he’s gonna look up to me. He’s gonna say, ‘I wanna be’ or he should say – ‘I wanna be like my father.”

When asked about his marriage to Tameka, Usher responds, “They think that it was forced. I’ve heard a lot of comments like, “Oh, she trapped him.” “He got a baby by her, and then she’s married and she’s set for life. No. She wasn’t pregnant when I asked her to marry me. There’s some sort of huge conspiracy over this, the fact that I made these choices in my life. No I grew older. As a man, I have to take responsibility and take a hold of my life. I’m accountable for what happens to my life now.”

Not for nothing but fatherhood looks good on ole Usher – but it’s rather amusing how buddy boy is constantly justifying his marriage to Tameka. Interesting indeed…

Usher may be crawling back to his mom soon enough:

Usher is said to have been disappointed that it sold 433,000 in its first week, compared with his last CD, 2004′s “Confessions,” which had sales of 1.1 million in its first seven days. “Usher was livid!,” claims an insider. “He threatened to fire everyone.”

“People have been telling Usher to listen to his mother,” says a source. “Nobody knows how to sell him better than she does. Usher can be stubborn. But he may be ready.”Some claim Usher pink-slipped his mom because she failed to show proper deference to his stylist-turned-girlfriend-turned-wife, Tameka Foster. But now that Foster has given her a grandson, the two ladies are said to be getting along better. Usher, for one, denies he fired his mom. Rather, he tells Vibe, “[I paid her] the ultimate compliment – to retire her to be a full-time grandmother.”

Patton has actually been busy running her own record label and managing other artists, including Usher’s brother, Jlack. But sources say that if Usher cries momma, she’s there for him.

Tsk tsk. This should come as no surprise. Perhaps Usher was a little too hasty in “retiring” Mommy Dearest. SMH.

News sources are confirming that Usher and Tameka did not call it quits:

“The R&B star’s manager calls an anonymously sourced breakup report on the [internet] ’100 percent not true.’

‘Usher and Tameka are currently traveling in Europe together as a family on his promotional tour,’ Benny Medina [said]. ‘This rumor is completely false.’ Not to mention, Tameka—who’s also the mother of 6-month-old Usher Raymond V—was spotted with her hubby of nearly nine months at an MTV taping on Sunday.”

So those unconfirmed rumors turned out to be plain old hype. Some would say that news was too good to be true anyway. Even though there still hanging in, Usher admits he’s married a flawed woman – check out his statement under the hood. Continue »

Unlike other Hollyweird inhabitants, Usher refused to sell pics of his son to the media:

“In no way would I ever pimp out my child for money,” Usher [said]. “I am livid that people talk about my child.” In fact, he has posed – for free – with his son for an “incredible” Father’s Day cover for Essence magazine.

Then he goes on to profess his love for Tameka:

“I stand by her as a man loving my wife and being there for my child . . . Opinions are like [bleep]holes. Everybody’s got one. What I will say is, this is my wife and I would hope that [people] would respect my wife and my marriage and who I have chosen to spend my life with.”

Check out Usher playing the knight in shining armor routine. It seems they’re going to tough it out until the very end. It’s like watching a train wreck move in slow motion.

There they are again folks! Happy Couple Usher and Tameka were spotted on their way to TRL recently. Kudos to them for not letting the Hollyweird steez disrupt their nuptial agreement. Now, moving on…Tameka’s feet are looking a little rough. May we suggest a pedicure, some vaseline, maybe a little concealer too, for those dogs?
