TI was caught yesterday, but for doing the right thing. He was snapped while out at the polls exercising his right to vote. For all of you folks with records, please make sure you know your rights. Depending on your state’s laws, you may still be eligible to register and vote.

Earlier this month Jamie spoke to Britain’s “The Independent Newspaper” about the inspiration for his third studio album. He says new disc ‘Man’s Intuition’ was inspired by his frustration about understanding what the opposite sex really wants.

“On my radio show I have this panel of beautiful women and they were talking about how men with a lot of money aren’t all that. But if a guy has no money, that’s no good either. So I was thinking, ‘What does a woman want?’ We go from there and build the story and the songs.”

According to Livesteez, T.I. and Ambassador Andrew Young have teamed up to stop violence:

Rapper T.I. and United Nations ambassador Andrew Young, are joining forces in a new TV documentary taking aim at gun violence in the U.S. The film focuses on T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr., making amends for his federal firearms offenses. Young, an advocate for peace around the world, premiered the hour-long film, “Walking With Guns,” on Sunday in Atlanta. It includes extensive footage of the Grammy-winning artist visiting a rehabilitation hospital in New York to meet patients paralyzed by gang violence. The film also shows T.I. and Young telling young people how to avoid violence, and follows a former gang member who is now a social activist, according to the Associated Press. The film, part of a series called “Andrew Young Presents,” is expected to begin airing Nov. 2 on TV stations around the country. “Violence would still be around without guns,” T.I. said to over 400 attendees during a question-and-answer session after the screening. “But there would be an increased value of life.”

Good work, Clifford. He is working hard to clean up his image before his stint.

T.I. has stepped over to the right side of the law, according to a report by Livesteez.

Rapper T.I. is teaming up with local Atlanta news station WSB-TV in a new camapign to help fight crime in metro Atlanta neighborhoods. T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr., is stepping in front of the camera, as the face of a new public service announcement to encourage others to report tips about crimes through an anonymous hotline. “Hey, what’s happening y’all? Some people call me Tip, but this is about another kind of tip that could help our mothers, our sisters, our brothers and our fathers to help get the perpetrators who commit crimes against them off the streets ” T.I. says in the video. “All you gotta do is call Crimestoppers Atlanta. Tips can be anonymous and there’s even a reward.” The new campaign, Atlanta Crimestoppers, is the brain child of WSB-TV investigative reporter Mark Winne. “I think T.I.’s street cred is as powerful as anybody we could get to do it,” said Winne. “There is no telling how many lives this PSA may save,” Winne added.

Although one has to wonder whether this was his own idea given the fact that he has spent d@mn near two decades actually committing crimes, we can’t even fault T.I. for standing up against crime and urging others to do the same.

According to Livesteez, TI had to put a halt on a video release of, Swing ya Rag, cause Louis Vuitton, and Gucci, are on one. Here we go again with this Cristal and Timberland ish:

Rapper T.I. has been busy shooting multiple videos for new singles off his album Paper Trail, but one music video may not make it to your television screens, if it’s left up to Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Tip and Swizz Beatz shot the video for “Swing Ya Rag” many weeks ago, around the same time as the “What Up, What’s Haapnin’ ” clip. However, the two companies mentioned in the song were not excited about the prospect of full-on visuals for the record, reports MTV.com. “We did it, and it came out hot,” Tip said of the video. “Louis Vuitton and Gucci started trippin’ about it. They were saying we were infringing, in one way or another. They weren’t happy about it. They didn’t want it to come out. But it’s hot, though.”

If they are trying to distance themselves from the Hip-Hop world, it is too late. Hip-Hop helped bring them into the view of one of the largest consumer markets.

Clifford used to be a gangster, but is now reformed and does shows like The View:

Atlanta rapper and actor T.I. visited the ladies of “The View” live Monday morning on ABC. He was there to perform “Whatever You Like,” the hit single from his new No. 1 album, “Paper Trail.” But first, the rapper had to answer some pointed questions regarding that guilty plea on those pesky federal weapons charges stemming from his arrest a year ago as he tried to purchase machine guns and silencers in a Midtown Publix shopping center. The arrest occurred just hours before he was due to hit the red carpet down the street at the Atlanta Civic Center as the most nominated artist at the 2007 BET Hip-Hop Awards.“I can’t excuse it,” T.I. said. “When you’re in my line of work, more people want to kill you than congratulate you. I have a family to protect. It sways your judgment.” With sunglasses perched atop his head, the rapper legally named Clifford Harris Jr. said he’s learned a few things since the arrest. “You’ve got to walk with God instead of walking with the guys. It took me a while to learn that.” T.I. is awaiting sentencing in the case. As a convicted felon, jail time is almost a certainty. On another stint in stir, T.I. said: “I’m concerned, but I’m not scared. I’m not thrilled about it. I look forward to getting it over with.”

Man we get it. You’re walking with God, yatta, yatta, yatta. You’d better walk with God and a shank when you hit the pen. The man’s new single is out right now and he’s over here sh*ttin bricks becoming a jail house preacher. SMH

T.I. is wary about doing time in the big house according to Livesteez.

Rapper T. I. is getting “anxious” as he draws closer to his upcoming jail stint. The entertainer tells CNN: “I wouldn’t describe it as fear. I would describe it as more concerned. Concerned, and I am a little anxious. Sooner I get started, sooner I get finished.” T.I., real name Clifford Harris Jr., is facing a one-year prison sentence and 1,000 hours of community service after pleading guilty to illegal possession of three machine guns and two silencers following a 2007 arrest. He has since defended his actions, insisting he felt the need to protect himself against assassination since the shooting death of his assistant Philant Johnson in May 2006.

Ya’ll remember those muscle bound killers with no teeth and jail-house tats who were spitting on those kids on Scared Straight way back when? Insert T.I. as one of those kids and extend the time from a day to a year; yeah…anxious sounds about right. Good luck with that.
