The Bossip Boombox: The Hottest Female Bars Ever Spit Boombox Pt.1

It’s Friday so you know what that means… yes it’s the day before the beginning of the weekend but it also means another installment of a themed Bossip Boombox. Today’s edition brings you a list of the hottest female MC’s that always represented within their own respective male dominated groups or features. Make sure to tell us what you think. Who came the hardest? And who did we leave out?

Rah Digga feat. Flipmode Squad – “Cha, Cha, Cha”
Most people remember the ridiculous video where the members of Flipmode ran from bulls in Mexico City but if you’re like us, you remember the hot verse by Rah. Always one to hold her own against the ever so talented, Busta Buss. Besides, can you honestly name all the members of Flipmode? We’ll wait.

Lil Kim feat. Diddy, Notrious B.I.G. and The Lox – “All About The Benjamins”
As Kimberly Jones so eloquently articulates, “Only female in my crew and I kick sh*t.” Need we say more?

Foxy Brown feat. The Firm – “Affirmative Action”
Probably one of the most classic verses in all of hip hop, Foxy definitively held her own against Nas, AZ and Cormega. Now if we can only get a new album by them.

Nicki Minaj feat. Kanye West, Jay Z and Rick Ross – “Monster”
Nicki has always had a lot to prove, whether it being compared to another female MC featured in this Boombox, the only female rapper in her very male dominated group or just more than a big butt and a smile but we honestly can say she proved a lot with this feature against hip hop’s biggest heavy weights.

Shawnna feat. 8Ball & MJG – “Candy Coated”
Former member of Ludacris’ group DTP, Shawnna brought the heat on this track featuring the legendary 8Ball & MJG. She is a beast. The end.

The Bossip Boombox

Jazmine Sullivan- Drive By (Always On Mind)
Just months after announcing that she was taking a break from music, we get our hands on another new joint from Ms.Sullivan, oh yes this isn’t a official single, but it’s still a great track. I mean how could you not love the mixture of electric and a bluessy sound?

Chevy Woods feat. Mac Miller- The Drive
No word on Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang affiliate Chevy Woods is up to, though he’s got a project coming, and from what we assume this new joint will be featured and maybe the lead single.

Miguel- Superhero
Miguel is on fire right now and his single “Quickie” is tearing through the charts so why not keep the momentum going with another banger.

Joe feat. Pharrell- Gone Away
So it’s safe to say that JOE BACK! And if you cared, this new joint is produced by the Neptunes with Pharrell assisting on vocal duties. Sounds like a Pharrell throw away track to us but we’ll let you be the judge.

Cee-Lo- Tomorrow Never Dies
Brand new joint produced by the ever so talented Saalam Remi. Hopefully this lands on the much rumored new album by Mr.Green.
