Kelis is proving that she really is “Bossy.” She pissed-off organizers of last weekend’s White Party in Palm Springs, who claim that she showed up nearly two hours late, and then only performed two songs. One event producer went so far as to suggest that the IRS be called — “Kelis demanded her $25,000 payment up front, in cash. But then she didn’t perform. Someone needs to alert the IRS – because we know she won’t.” Event organizer Phil Lobel said that, “Kelis acted like a diva.” For her part, Kelis’ rep Tracy Nguyen told the NY Post: “There were many missteps behind the scenes which created a less than suitable environment for any artist to perform. Because of her love for her fans, Kelis made the decision to take the stage, against any advice not to do so.”

Nas really knows how to pick baby mama’s and wifey’s. You know, the type of woman that will have the IRS come sniffing around your underground cash or have you coming to jail to bail her out for throwing slurs at cops posing as prostitutes. What is she mixing her blunts with these days?

Imus was just fired by CBS radio and this comes on the back of being kicked off MSNBC. He is out of J-O-B. When you look like you have been to a couple of lynchings, rockin’ a cowboy hat, you may want to be careful throwin’ “nappy” in front of hoes in this context.

“There has been much discussion of the effect language like this has on our young people, particularly young women of color trying to make their way in this society,” CBS President and Chief Executive Officer Leslie Moonves said in announcing the decision on Thursday. “That consideration has weighed most heavily on our minds as we made our decision.”

On the “Today” show, host Meredith Vieira blasted Al Sharpton for not riding against rappers for promiscuously promoting the words “ho’s” and “bitches’ in their lyrics while riding against Imus for his “nappy-headed hoes” comment. Sharpton shot back by saying his organization is trying to promote rappers with more positive messages.

Rumors are swirling that Leonardo Dicaprio has a child support check baby on the way with his girlfriend, model Bar Rafaeli. Rafaeli was featured in Sean Jean fragrance ads last year. This came from a real newspaper in the UK, not a blog so it probably has no truth to it. Leo has been real smart about his career, I don’t think he is swimming up in that raw. At the minimum he is pulling out. If you haven’t seen The Departed, check it out, it’s a hot movie.
