Barack Obama dicussing why he is the first American presidential candidate in history to have secret service protection this early in this presidential primary race:

“I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about it or considering the details of this,” he added. “But just to broaden the issue, are there people who would be troubled with an African-American president? Yes. Are there folks who might not vote for me because I’m African-American? No doubt.”

If Kennedy and Reagan were capped on, Obama will probably have to duck at least once.
