Newlyweds Usher and Tameka Foster attended the celebration for Jermaine Dupri’s opening of his new club Studio 72 outside of Atlanta, Ga. JD could not have been there without his boo, Janet, Miss Jackson if you’re nasty there for support. I’m not going to say that these are two good-looking couples, but I am going to say that they both look happy, and that’s what’s most important, right?

Word is that Usher and Tameka will have their official wedding this weekend in Atlanta.

Polow Da Don has something to say about his recent comments comparing Black and white women. Before we get to his response, lets rewind the track to some comments he made some time ago.

“I’m the ‘King of the White Girls,’” proclaims the 28-year-old producer who now goes by Polow Da Don. “My boys would give me junk about it, but [the white girls’] head game is on a different level.”

Now on to his response to the reaction of his most recent comments.

Oh definitely. It has nothing to do with me, these effects. I didn’t make this stuff up. Only thing where people got misled is that I said I prefer a White woman, and that’s not the case at all. Really, I date all types of women. It was a stage in my life when I started dating a lot of White women- that was just a stage in my life. Right now, I date girls I like. I don’t base it off of any shade or color when I meet a girl now. They linked my comments about the Black family and Black women with the “King of the White Girls” and [the fact that] I dated White girls. That’s where it all went wrong. So when I was comparing Black women to White women, that has zero to do with me dating White women. What I was saying was factual though. Ladies and gentlemen agreed, n****s and b******s got mad

For some reason, we think Polow is going to have a lot of Black women fans to make sure he sticks around like Timbaland. We have never heard of a producer being ‘Tayed’. Hit up AHH for the entire interview.

In a new interview with Interview Magazine, Mariah Carey discusses how she got started, from hanging out with Lenny Kravitz to being held prisoner by her producer, record exec husband Tommy Mottola. About living at Tommy’s crib, she says:

It was like my second childhood there. We were all at the kids’ table. And if we laughed too hard at something, it was a problem…..This conversation that we’re having now would never have taken place

People think I just started experimenting with hip-hop and working with rappers when I worked on Butterfly album [1997] and that I just started working with whoever they saw me hanging out with, be it Q-Tip or Puffy or whoever, but they don’t realize that I’ve been a fan of hip-hop and using hip-hop loops forever – I had to sneak it when I was married and when I was in that system. The masses were not up on hip-hop, but ever since I can remember I was into rap – like the Sugarhill Gang is one of the first records I ever bought, and then like Grandmaster Flash. I grew up with hip-hop.

The things industry folks do and the people they hook up with in the name of love. Tommy Mottola doesn’t sound like he worked for Sony, sounds like that nicca was reppin’ the Taliban. She wanted to be famous and payed the price. Listen-up Kelly Rowland.

Ne-Yo on being about his business and not having time for Britney Spears and her comeback issues:

“I have no idea what’s going on with Britney Spears right now. I wrote the songs for Britney, but this was before she shaved her head and went into rehab again. When that happened, I lost all contact with her and her label. I was calling them, they weren’t returning phone calls. I’m like, ‘All right. I guess they’re not interested anymore.’ The last thing I heard was that Britney was mad at me over some songs that were supposed to go to her that wound up going to Nicole (Scherzinger). Britney Spears’ people called me like, ‘Hey, why are you giving away Britney’s music?’ I’m like, ‘Hold on. Y’all ain’t cutting me no check!”

Eldra “El” Debarge was locked up on Sunday for domestic violence, fortunately, the Los Angeles District Attorney rejected the domestic charges, but El will remain under police custody.

Via TMZ:

Debarge is being held on several outstanding warrants ranging from vandalism to drugs to driving with a suspended license. On these particular warrants, bail is not an option — which means El Debarge will stay behind bars until he sees the judge.

The image of pretty little El Debarge dancing and twirling is shattered, enter the scruffy dude riding dirty, doing drugs, and beating his wife. SMH.

Ciara was recently dubbed the “Hottest Chick In The Game” by both 50 Cent and Jim Jones. She was spotted at Tao Nightclub in Vegas at the Signature Apparal Party last night modeling Rocawear.

Is the hottest chick in the game wearing Jay’s chain or his clothes? Ciara the hottest chick in the game, probably not, but her shorter new hair-do is refreshing.

Our homies over at Extra TV have court documents showing Bobby’s legal declaration in his divorce proceedings with Whitney Houston:

Bobby claims he lived in his car while Whitney was in rehab! Damn, who would have thought that Bobby even had a car, I guess begging those TV One producers for that whip actually paid off:

In Brown’s declaration, he claims, “Since Whitney has been awarded sole legal and physical custody of Bobbi Kris, she has attempted to eliminate me from Bobbi Kris’ life.” He also states, “I did all I could to see my daughter…I also paid approximately $10,000 for Whitney and Bobby Kris to live in a nice hotel while Whitney was going through rehab…I basically lived in my car.” Continue »
