New York Knicks point guard Stephon Marbury recently spoke out on Mike Vick’s Plea Deal.

Via Fox Sports:

“I think we don’t say anything about people who shoot deer or shoot other animals. You know, from what I understand, dogfighting is a sport. It’s just behind closed doors. I think it’s tough that we build up Michael Vick and then we break him down. I think he’s one of the superb athletes and he’s a good human being. I think he fell into a bad situation.”

The masses are already associating dog-fighting with Hip Hop so you know they are about to jump all over this one.

The beautiful and talented Alicia Keys hit up TRL today to promote her new movie “The Nanny Diaries”. On her blog, she reveals that she is almost finished her album and sounds mad excited about the new single:

The single is called “Noone” and I’m LOVING IT!!! I hope it’s a bit unexpected and something that completely surrounds you, engulfs you and sweeps you away. I hope it makes you feel good and strong and passionate and makes you scream the words at the top of your lungs. I hope it does things to you!!!!

TMZ is reporting the pregnant and “almost-to-be-engaged” Foxy Brown is going to jail. I am quite tired of writing about her and her foolishness so all I can say is “Finally!” Oh yeah, and who is really marrying this chick?

Fantasia gives commentary on her role in “The Color Purple”:

“Miss Celie takes a lot out of me. I’m being told everyday that I’m ugly. … you can’t play the part if you don’t kind of put yourself in her shoes and live her life. So it’s like, I carry that stuff with me. I put myself in her shoes in having (daughter) Zion at such a young age and dropping out of school and being in just bad relationships and disrespected. I just feel like God won’t put too much on me than I can bear. As long as I feel like I’m touching somebody … as long as I’m blessing somebody, I know that I’ll be blessed.”

Chris Brown was mobbed outside a London store after signing copies of his Wall to Wall CD on Saturday.

Via MTV:

“It was pure pandemonium. I’ve been working here for a few years now and never before has any other celebrity drew this many people to the store”. Because of time limits only a few of the hundreds of people who arrived could meet their idol and so afterwards Chris Brown did a walk around the store and then ran outside. Things soon got tricky for the R&B crooner when fans descended on him from both sides of Oxford Street and tackled the star to the floor where they then began trying to strip his clothes off. Brown managed to escape unharmed from the encounter (minus muddy clothes) and was quickly rushed back instore by his security where he had to wait until the police arrived to provide him with an escort.

In the current issue of Giant Magazine, Chris says he attracts older women and even Gabrielle Union was trying to get a piece of the kid. I’m sure these were all older, Gabby types that were stripping his clothes off to get a piece of that sidekick action. Good for him!

Vivica Fox has been showing up to events recently exposing her extreme receding hairline. She celebrated her 43rd birthday last night at Sol and decided to step her wig/weave game up a few notches, now if she could leave those FUBU plastic surgeons alone she will be straight.

Cam’Ron blew up the “Stop Snitchin” phenomenon on a 60 Minute special earlier this year and now a Florida newspaper is under fire after printing an editorial cartoon on “Stop Snitchin”.

According to local Florida site jacksonville.com:

Some readers were shocked and angered by a Friday editorial page cartoon depicting a black man with a smoking gun in his hand standing over a bullet-riddled victim. “I didn’t see nuttin’!” said a little girl standing nearby. “Now that’s a good little ho!” said the gunman. Both the shooter and the child wore T-shirts saying “Don’t Snitch!”The cartoon carried a caption: “The new rule of Law!” A billboard in the background depicted more black characters under lyrics, “Rap your life away.” Continue »
