Busta Rhymes gets probation, fines, and community service for assault and DUI charges:

A judge sentenced Busta Rhymes to three years’ probation Tuesday for assaulting his former driver and a fan, and warned the rapper to stay out of trouble. The 35-year-old Rhymes, whose real name is Trevor Smith, was also ordered to perform 10 days of community service; pay a $1,250 fine, plus court costs; and enroll in a drunken driving program.

After the sentencing, Rhymes said the terms of the plea deal won’t be a problem. “I have no trouble being a good dude because that’s what I am.” Continue »

Will Smith denies being a Scientology weirdo:

“You don’t have to be Jewish to be a friend of Steven Spielberg. You don’t have to be a Muslim to be a friend of Muhammad Ali. And you don’t have to be a Scientologist to be a friend of Tom Cruise. I am a Christian. I am a student of all religions. And I respect all people and all paths.”

Will can say what he wants, but we all know that he probably dabbles in it just a tad. Why else would he and Jada attend double dates rockin the signature all black Scientology get ups?

She manages to pull off that cute girl next door steez naturally without the help of silicone or any other ‘fantastic plastic’. David Paterson, the successor to former NY governor and wanting to hit hookers raw dude Eliot Spitzer airs out his dirty laundry early in the game:

Responding to rumors circulating in Albany, Paterson and his wife, Michelle, told the Daily News of New York City that both had affairs during a rough patch in their marriage several years ago.

“This was a marriage that appeared to be going sour at one point,” Paterson told the Daily News. “But I went to counseling and we decided we wanted to make it work. Michelle is well aware of what went on.”

Paterson told the newspaper that he maintained a relationship with another woman from 1999 until 2001. He and his wife, Michelle, eventually sought counseling and repaired their relationship. The couple did not go into details. Paterson and the other woman sometimes stayed at a Days Inn on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the governor said, adding that his Albany staff sometimes stayed there as well when they were in the city. Paterson said he did not use government or campaign funds to pay for the romantic encounters.

Dave said fu*k that, I’m a lay all this on the table early so none of this comes to haunt me down the line.

After nearly two years, Sean “Diddy” Combs completed his deposition last week in the $130 million civil lawsuit stemming from the 1999 Club New York shooting that sent the Bad Boy CEO’s former protégé, Shyne, to prison. Natania Reuben, who filed the suit, claims the Bad Boy CEO and Shyne (Jamal Barrow, who changed his name in 2006 to Moses Michael Leviy in honor of his Jewish heritage), among others, are responsible for the injuries she suffered that night as a result of the gunfire. We posted back in July that Bow Wow was dating Melody Thornton from the Pussycat Dolls. Now a highly placed source has exclusively told Bossip that Bow Wow flew Melody in from Kuwait (Where she and the Pussycat Dolls where performing), so she could be there she could be there for his 21st birthday. The source states that things are getting pretty serious between the two.

Will and Jada are reportedly becoming Scientologists:

Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith are set to become the latest high-profile recruits into the controversial Church of Scientology, it has been claimed. Despite Will’s rep vehemently denying reports the star is set to join the cult — which boasts Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes among its celebrity members — sources close to the Men In Black star say he definitely is becoming a member of the religion. “He’s been getting more and more involved [in Scientology],” the source tells MSNBC.com’s The Scoop. “And it isn’t just him, it’s definitely Jada, too.

“It’s not so much that anyone is upset that Will is becoming a Scientologist. It’s that as he becomes more involved, you’d think he’d sort of help fly the flag with Tom [Cruise], who seems to only get a bad rap for it, while Will does this and comes through just fine.”

It is even rumored that Kimora Lee Simmons is set to join the bizarre religion. At a recent Scientology gathering, the cult’s notorious leader, David Miscavige, “spoke glowingly of Kimora Lee Simmons’ efforts to distribute a personalized edition of Hubbard’s The Way to Happiness, featuring her image on the cover, to school kids in New Jersey.” Simmons’ rep, however, insisted that the designer/model is not a Scientologist.
