Word is that Kanye and Alexis called it quits. Allegedly, Kanye told her that he didn’t think their relationship was working and asked for the ring back. We all know break ups are never easy, but we do know that some of you are more than a little pleased to learn the news: Kanye’s back on the market.

It’s too bad though, we actually liked them as a couple, but things were a little fishy when Yeezy was showing up to events dolo. Too bad.

Here are some pics of Camel leaving the Parlor Sports Bar in Santa Monica, Ca. last night grinning big as hell despite to ‘rumors’ of he and Beyonce having their first marital altercation:

It kicked off at the Hollywood Bowl in LA where – at a star-studded gig – Jay-Z slated his better half’s song! Flicking through his box of oldies, the DJ slapped on one of Beyonce’s biggest hits, Crazy In Love. But as the fans grooved, Jay-Z growled. Storming to the mic, he yelled: “F*** that. Sorry Bey but f*** that – let’s play something else.” Furious, Bey stalked off… before laying into her man later away from prying eyes.

“Beyonce had been side stage for most of the night, dancing and singing along,” says a fellow reveller. But when Jay-Z got the song pulled, her mood soured. He meant it as a joke, but Beyonce didn’t take it that way. “After he came off stage, she confronted him, demanding to know what the hell his comments had been about. She was gesturing wildly and not looking happy.

“Like any good husband would, Jay-Z grovelled and tried to get out of it with compliments. “It’s a shame because earlier the pair had been flashing their tattooed wedding ring fingers. Both have ‘IV’ – the date of their wedding’ – inked on. “Later peace was restored and they were smiling and holding hands again.”

Or maybe Jigga’s just cheesin so hard because of another rumor, that he and Beyonce are expecting. We hear that Mathew Knowles is going around telling folks that Bey is knocked up. We’ll all just have to wait and see…

Mariah Carey got booed in L.A.:

“Glitzy singer Mariah Carey was nearly in for a shock yesterday when she arrived to a throng of boos from her most dedicated fans. If the soul diva had hoped that by turning up two hours late for her own CD signing would entice her audience, then she was right! No sooner had the crowd become inpatient, she finally showed her face, ensuring that the fans went ecstatic for her bootylicious entrance at the Hard Rock Cafe.”

Poor Mimi, booed by her fans. So much for being (un)fashionably late in that catsuit/striped shorts get up. She still must be a little delusional to think that people would rather waste their time waiting for her ass to show up just to get her signature. A word of advice: Have a little more respect for your fans; and perhaps it’s time to consider getting a new stylist.

Pharrell apologized for cursing while performing last night:

“Hip-hop star Pharrell Williams was forced to apologize for his profanity-laden performance on the first night of Kanye West’s Glow In The Dark tour on Wednesday after spotting a young child in the front row. The group took to the stage with a high-energy show that featured Williams hurling out expletives during songs like “Rock Star” and “She Wants To Move.”

Williams returned to the stage while fans waited to see pop princess Rihanna to apologize for his use of profanity in front of a young child seated in the front row.”

What was a young child doing at the show? We thought it was a hip-hop concert not the damned Ice Capades. We guess he/she was there looking for those muppets. Anyways, Kudos to Pharrell for manning up. This guy has class.

Shots were fired, and one man injured at a hip-hop fashion show in ATL.:

“The shooting happened during a ‘Hot on the Runway’ fashion show, sponsored by popular Hip-Hop station Hot 107.9. Celebrities like Mario, Ashanti, Young Berg, Ray J, Lil Scrappy, Diamond had performed or were present during the evening, in what was described as a successful event, until the shots rang out, long after the fashion show had ended. According to police, a 22-year-old man was sitting on a couch near the club’s bar in the terrace area, when an unknown assailant shot him twice in the abdomen. Police also said that witnesses were not being cooperative. At present time there are no suspects.”

We’re plain sick and tired of our events being plagued with violence. We wish the victim a speedy recovery, and hope they catch the shooter. By the by…This no snitching thing is getting beyond out of pocket. SMH.

Solange speaks on being a teen parent and offers advice for other teen parents such as Jamie Lynn Spears:

Knowles, now 21, welcomed son Daniel in 2004 at the age of 18 (she split with husband, former football player Daniel Smith, after the baby was born).

“I’m sure a lot of people perceived that I was gonna be a young, irresponsible mom. I think that there are some moms who are 35 who are just as irresponsible. You just have to make the best decisions for you. You have to decide what’s best for you. Who are we to say what’s right and wrong for a person?”

To focus on raising her son, Knowles said she “moved to the country for a year” without any nannies or babysitters. “My parents lived on a whole opposite part of the world. My son has been my focus ever since the day he was born. He’s been the light of my life, the inspiration behind everything.”

Good for her.

After last year, we should’ve seen this coming:

“The Soul Train Music Awards have been scrapped for 2008. The annual ceremony celebrates the best in black music and entertainment in North America, and has been running for more than 20 years. This year’s event would have marked the 22nd installment of the Soul Train Music Awards, but the reason behind the cancellation has yet to be disclosed.

Last year’s ceremony lacked the presence of the main nominees, including John Legend, Gnarls Barkley and superstars Beyonce Knowles and Mary J. Blige, after scheduling conflicts meant they were unable to attend the event.

However, the awards show – which usually takes place a few weeks after the prestigious Grammy Awards – has also been under increased scrutiny since Soul Train, the TV dance show it was based on, was brought to an end in 2006. It is currently unclear whether future Soul Train Music Awards would be affected by the 2008 announcement.”

With so many Black artists scrambling to clear their schedule for the “prestigious” Grammy’s, they neglected to participate in this cultural institution last year. Now it appears that the Soul Train Awards may never come back. We’d like to see them overturn their decision about canceling this year. The mostly D-List celebrity line up was pretty entertaining last year. SMH.

“It’s not!” She explains, “I wrote that record last summer … The song is just about real life. It’s for every woman who has gone through it. Of course I’ve snooped! Before [sidekicks] came out, I was snooping through regular cell phones, Skytel, everything! Whatever he had out, I was all in it!”

And as for the current status of her relationship with Nelly? “We’re really, really good friends.”

There goes that really, really good friends thing again.  They know that relationship was a publicity hoax anyway.  SMH.

Since March, Eddie’s been secretly dating gorgeous waitress Lara LaRue, the sister of CSI: Miami star Eva LaRue. Lara works at Sushiya on Sunset Boulevard in LA, and according to Eddie’s pal, “He is already telling his friends that he is in love.” Lara, a sometime-model and a ringer for Eddie’s ex-wife Nicole Murphy, admitted: “I know Eddie. He’s an amazing guy. I respect him and he respects me.” An insider reveals that Lara and Eddie met while bowling and have been keeping the relationship quiet. Eddie and Lara share the same April 3 birthday — but Eddie is 47 and Lara is 25. A pal says, “He’s been sending Lara huge floral arrangements practically every day and is talking about moving in together.”

He’s definitely got a thang for those high yella chicks. Damn, he’s practically old enough to be her dad. But that’s how it goes in Hollyweird. In this case, Eddie better keep an eye on his dough for real, this broad doesn’t even have a steady job. SMH.
