Here’s ‘Mr. Carey’ right on schedule for yet another publicity opportunity. I guess we’re to believe the devoted husband is out buying his new wife some Hello Kitty sh*t. How transparent sweet.

And guess where they decided to celebrate their recent nuptials?:

“Newlyweds Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon made up for their intimate wedding with a celebration at Six Flags Magic Mountain Theme Park Tuesday evening. The park was decorated with pink and purple balloons and a banner which read: ‘Mariah and Nick – A Love Story.’”

We’re beginning to wonder about ole Mimi’s sanity once again. SMH.

Even after saying she would never get married again, word is:

New mom Halle Berry is engaged to her boyfriend Gabriel Aubry after he gave her his grandmother’s ring. “Gabriel felt the time was right to propose. He gave her the family heirloom because he wanted to show her how much she means to him, and how she will be accepted into the Aubry family,” a source close to the couple said. “The ring belonged to Gabriel’s grandmother – it was her engagement ring.”

Congrats to them if they are planning to tie the knot. He might be the opposite of all her previously failed relationships and bring out the best instead of the crazy out of her. Good for them.

UPDATE:“It’s not an engagement ring.” As for reports suggesting that the ring, designed by Amrapali, was a gift from boyfriend Gabriel Aubry, “Halle just saw it and thought it was beautiful so she bought it for herself.”

Some mark-ass busters in Marietta, GA see nothing wrong with depicting a prominent African-American as a monkey:

Marietta bar owner Mike Norman says the T-shirts he’s peddling, featuring a look-a-like of cartoon chimp Curious George peeling a banana, with “Obama in ’08″ underneath, are not meant to offend. Norman acknowledged the imagery’s Jim Crow roots but said he sees nothing wrong with depicting a prominent African-American as a monkey, “We’re not living in the (19)40′s,” he said. “Look at him . . . the hairline, the ears — he looks just like Curious George.” Continue »

Remy Ma and Papoose’s nuptials were called off yesterday thanks to Pap and his hair brain schemes:

“A wedding was scheduled today and a visitor to that wedding service was found to be in possession of jail contraband so the wedding was canceled. The key that was found today easily opened handcuffs that we and other law enforcement officials use. Now the 29-year-old Brooklyn-born Papoose – real name Shamele Mackie – won’t be able to see his fiancée until November.

The visitor was sanctioned by not being able to visit Rikers Island again for six months.He was asked to leave. Papoose was not charged after he voluntarily surrendered the key to authorities. He was quickly ushered out of the jail and never got to enter the prison island’s Rose M. Singer chapel in which the two were set to say their “I do’s.”

How stupid is he to think that that would actually work? What a dumbass…

*Update: Remy Ma has been sentenced to 8 years in prison:

“Remy Ma was sentenced to eight years in prison today by a Manhattan Supreme Court judge for shooting her friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph after the two argued over money after leaving a party.”

Now let’s see how eager Papoose will be to reschedule that wedding. SMH.

Nick Cannon “definitely wants kids” with new wife Mariah Carey, says his half-brother Reuben Cannon. “I am not sure exactly if now is the time. Both of their careers are crazy right now.” Reuben, a musician working on his first solo album, said his half-brother and Carey have a “real and honest love” for each other. “That is what is going to keep them together. He loves her more than any other girl.”

He loves her more than Christina Milian, Kim Kardashian, Selita Ebanks, that Miss USA chick, and Nicole Scherzinger. She’s also got way more stackage than those other broads too. Coincidence?
