Barack Obama and family attended the Apostolic Church of God in Chicago yesterday where he graciously dropped some fatherly knowledge:

“What I’ve realized is that life doesn’t count for much unless you’re willing to do your small part to leave our children — all of our children — a better world. Any fool can have a child. That doesn’t make you a father. It’s the courage to raise a child that makes you a father.”

Leave it to our man Barack to lay it out with class and honesty.

While performing at a show over the weekend, former G-Unit member Young Buck shouted out, “F**k G-Unit!” then went on to explain his beef with Bugs Monkey:

“When I made the statement, ‘I ain’t never seen a royalty check,’ I didn’t say that sh** saying that the n**** 50 done took money from me or none of that ol’ sh**. I said it ’cause it’s real n****. When I say sh**, I mean the sh**. He took it a different way. I guess the n**** felt like I’m airing out family business or whatever.

He didn’t stop his rant there however. Buck continued on, letting 50 know his money can’t save him when he hits “rock bottom.

‘The n**** outta control … he feel like he got a whole lot until the n**** hit rock bottom and he got to crawl his ass back up,” explained Buck. “The different between me and a motherf***in’ 50 Cent is that I can hit the gutter n****. I can get back in the streets … on some real n**** sh** I can get right back out here — where all my people reside — and get money. I guarantee he couldn’t go back to his and do the same.’”

They’re back!!

“After years of inner-turmoil and label woes, Cleveland rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony have reunited, with all five original group members. According to founding member Krayzie Bone, the group has made amends with estranged member Bizzy and when incarcerated group member Flesh is released next month, the group is planning a full return to the rap game.”

We’re sure true Bone Thug fans are pleased to hear this bit of news. We’ll have to wait and see if this time apart will have a negative impact on their collective skill set – so to speak.

Racist piper Amy Winehouse was hospitalized this afternoon:

“‘Amy was at home this afternoon when she briefly fainted,’ read a statement from her U.S. publicist, Tracey Miller. ‘Fortunately, her manager’s assistant was there to stop her falling. She quickly recovered, and her father, Mitch, took her to hospital as a precaution. Doctors are unsure of the cause of the incident, and Amy is currently undergoing tests. She may be kept overnight for observation.” Miller said no other information was available on Winehouse’s condition or the cause of her fainting spell.”

We’re sure she’ll be right back on the pipe as soon as she’s released. This burned out basehead is headed for an early grave. SMH.

Bobby Brown’s son has been running his yap in the “news” lately. Last week, he was talking about how he jumped-off Lindsay Lohan in a bathroom and now he has something to say about good ole Whitney:

Bobby Brown’s son Landon has revealed his former stepmother, Whitney Houston, treated him like an employee when he went to stay with the former couple. Landon Brown says Houston was a “nightmare” to grow up with, refusing to accept him as a member of her family. He tells the National Enquirer that his former stepmom insisted he slept in a guest house when he came to stay – and refused to let him spend time with her daughter – his half-sister – Bobbi Kristina.

He says, “Whitney and I never really got along. She didn’t necessarily hate me, but she wouldn’t really speak to me either. In Whitney’s eyes, I was the stepchild.” He adds, “She decided to turn me into one of her security personnel. I was a teenager but I was walking around dressed up in all black with a Security shirt and she’d have me work for her. I was just another one of her staff.”

SMH. We’re not saying that rocked-out Whitney is a saint or anything, but this little nicca is trying to get a little publicity by any means necessary. Poor thang.

Word is Kanye pissed off a whole lot of fans last night:

“West was supposed to start his gig at Bonnaroo at 2:45 a.m. yesterday morning, and when he didn’t show up until 4:25, the crowd got on him, chanting ‘Kanye sucks’ and throwing glow sticks on stage. The delay, according to reports, was caused by K’s big stage set, which took a while to throw up after Pearl Jam’s appearance. As it happens, a lot of fans just couldn’t keep it up for Kanye – and ended up asleep in their sleeping bags.”

This type of ish is starting to be a recurring theme for buddy boy. But seriously, this cat must have some bona fide loyal fans if they were willing to wait around ’til the break of dawn to see him perform.

And speaking of Kanye: Our suspicions were true. According to a casual statement made by the NY Post, Kanye is in fact dating Selita Ebanks. We wish ‘em the best of luck ’cause with Lil Miss Fo’head’s track record, they’ll need it.

Here’s is some nice wholesome family action for this Father’s Day. The Pinkett-Smiths hit up the Kit Kittredge: An American Girl premiere in Hollyweird this weekend.

Happy Father’s Day to all the Daddys out there doing their part.

Obama used Father’s Day as a platform to ride against absent Black Father’s:

“Too many fathers are M.I.A, too many fathers are AWOL, missing from too many lives and too many homes,” Mr. Obama said, to a chorus of approving murmurs from the audience. “They have abandoned their responsibilities, acting like boys instead of men. And the foundations of our families are weaker because of it.”

Accompanied by his wife, Michelle, and his daughters, Malia and Sasha, who sat in the front pew, Mr. Obama laid out his case in stark terms that would be difficult for a white candidate to make, telling the mostly black audience not to “just sit in the house watching SportsCenter,” and to stop praising themselves for mediocre accomplishments.

“Don’t get carried away with that eighth-grade graduation,” he said, bringing many members of the congregation to their feet, applauding. “You’re supposed to graduate from eighth grade.”

Snoop’s wife was arrested for DUI this weekend:

The wife of Grammy-nominated rap artist Snoop Dogg was arrested in Fullerton early Saturday on suspicion of drunk driving, police said. Shante Broadus, 32, was stopped by police near Highland and Orangethorpe avenues about 12:15 a.m. and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, said Fullerton Police Lt. Craig Brower. Broadus, a resident of Sherman Oaks, was taken to Fullerton City Jail, where she was booked, issued a citation to appear in court and released, Brower said. He said Broadus would appear in court next month. Brower could not comment on why officers stopped Broadus, the vehicle she was driving or whether other people were in the vehicle.

Damn, we know they can afford a driver. SMH.
