A recent report puts permed up Al Sharpton on blast by accusing him of accepting bribes from companies who are being accused of racism. The way the hustle works is a company faces allegations of racism and passes stacks to Sharpton as a “consultant”:

Anheuser-Busch gave him six figures, Colgate-Palmolive shelled out $50,000 and Macy’s and Pfizer have contributed thousands to the Rev. Al Sharpton’s charity.

Almost 50 companies – including PepsiCo, General Motors, Wal-Mart, FedEx, Continental Airlines, Johnson & Johnson and Chase – and some labor unions sponsored Sharpton’s National Action Network annual conference in April. Terrified of negative publicity, fearful of a consumer boycott or eager to make nice with the civil-rights activist, CEOs write checks, critics say, to NAN and Sharpton – who brandishes the buying power of African-American consumers. In some cases, they hire him as a consultant.

The cash flows even as the US Attorney’s Office in Brooklyn has been conducting a grand-jury investigation of NAN’s finances.

Raven Symone, among others attended the Kira Plastinina US launch party in LA last night.  We like that Raven embraces her voluptuousness instead of jumping on that anorexic-bobble head bandwagon.  She looks good in that ‘feminine suit’ but we would have like to see a lil more cleavage.  SMH.

Tim Russert passed away today:

“Tim Russert, NBC journalist and political heavyweight host of ‘Meet the Press,’ has died after collapsing at NBC’s Washington news bureau, a source said. He was 58 years old.”

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family. R.I.P.

Prince graces the cover of Jet’s newest issue. The legendary “Divo” who just turned 50, celebrated his upcoming book release with a private party and surprise concert at his palatial home in the hills above L.A. His guests included Eddie Murphy, Babyface, Diddy and Superhead who had this to say about the H.R.B.:

“When Prince is in the room, there are no other celebrities. Not when his majesty saunters into the room he’s magnetic and electrifying. The crowd became entranced.”

Check out Supa head gettin all poetic ‘n’ sh*t. But somehow, we bet ole girl’s telling the truth. Prince is one of a kind.

Michael Jackson was named the worst father of the year in an online poll:

“Dangling a baby out of a Berlin hotel window! We’re not sure what’s crazier: Michael’s unique approach to parenting, or the fact that a woman was willing to carry the children of a twice-alleged child molester.”

Damn. Poor Mike can’t seem to catch a break. His is a tragic tale to the bone.

Janet took time out of her hectic schedule to chat with Bossip recently. Although she remained tight-lipped on the topics of her alleged child with former hubby, questions about her sexuality, and the inside scoop on her relationship with Jermaine Dupri, she did manage to tell us a little about her upcoming Rock Witchu Tour and future plans:

Bossip: It’s been 7 years since you’ve been on tour. Why have you chosen to

go on tour at this point in time?

Janet: I was in tour rehearsals on the last album when the new label [Def Jam] asked if I would consider putting the tour on hold because they wanted a new album quickly. They wanted me to wait until after the release of Discipline [to tour].

Bossip: Will this Rock Witchu Tour be your last?

Janet: If the Stones can keep going being in their 60′s, then I can too. I’m not saying I will, just saying I can.

Bossip: You’ve had a remarkable career, what’s your vision for the future?

Janet: Music, more acting, producing film and TV projects. I have a show coming out toward the later part of the year and I have a book coming around November about my journey through weight gain and loss – and what method I use to control it.

And by the way, all that noise about Janet’s European tour being canceled is totally false. Tickets go on sale this weekend for Janet’s Rock Witchu Tour. And although it’s been 7 years, we’re sure it’ll be worth the wait. Much more to come as her tour draws near……

These miniature stillettos called Heelarious are designed for baby girls between the ages of 0 and 6 months.

And this is only part of the disturbing trend of hussy-wear for young girls:

Supermarket giant Tesco was criticized for launching padded bras for girls as young as seven. [called the] “bust-booster.”

[Another company called] Asda was also condemned for marketing black lacy underwear to nine-year-old girls.

Unfortunately, this sounds a little too familiar. Seriously folks. What is this world coming to?
