Weezy clears the air on false statements that his daughter was killed in a car accident:

“It has come to my attention that there are recent reports circulating regarding my daughter. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who are genuinely concerned about Reginae and her safety. Please allow me to dispel any rumors or speculations and report that my daughter is alive, healthy and surrounded by family who care and love her dearly. The rumors are completely false and unfounded; neither Reginae nor any other member of my family has been involved in any car accident. My family and I truly appreciate the concern and support shown to us.”

That’s certainly good news…

Tito Jackson is being sued:

Apparently no one in the Jacko family has any money anymore. Even Tito Jackson is taking money from people and not paying them back, allegedly. A martial arts teacher in Devon, England, is suing Tito for almost $25K, claiming that Wacko’s older bro still owes him that much bread from almost $40,000 he loaned him earlier this year. The original loan, says Matt Fiddes, was for T.J. and his family to travel to north Devon to check out some real estate.

Damn would these niccas get their stacks in order??? Michael made way to much paper for this bullsh*t to be going down. SMH.

Cullen Jones and the US Olympic Swim Team won the Gold yesterday in the 4×100 Freestyle relay:

Swimmer Cullen Jones is still reeling from winning Olympic gold in a relay that is already being called one of the most exciting races in sports history. And now he is just starting to digest the longer-reaching impact his victory could have on a sport that is lacking in diversity.

“I was told, ‘You could change the face of swimming by getting more African-Americans into swimming,’ ” Jones, 24, said. “At first I was like, ‘Really, me?’ I never got into it thinking I could do something like that, you never do. I just liked to swim.” Continue »

Bill Cosby’s daughter on being privileged:

“My own people used to say to me, ‘You speak like a white woman,’” said the youngest daughter of Bill and Camille Cosby at her chic new boutique, PB & Caviar, in Tribeca.

“What does that even mean, anyway? Everyone has their way of speaking and living their life. No one should be judging and assuming that because I’m black, I have to speak in that hip-hop way. That’s something I prefer not to do.”

“I always went to private schools – Bank Street elementary, Columbia Prep – so I was surrounded by people like me. Not so much African-American, but privileged. I don’t really have a connection to other people who didn’t have my lifestyle. But my dad is very into helping people from his own community in Philadelphia.”

Wow, she sounds awfully ‘sheltered’. SMH at “I have to speak in that hip-hop way”. Mind you, this broad sells those little newborn stillettos at this store too.
